Lovely example of an old school Holden. What are it's running gear specs?

Want a picture that will really make you question what country you are in? Be sure to look in the garage!

The one in the garage, is it an original with a 351 in it?

Oh, oh, OOOOH! The steering wheel turned out Grrrr8!

Got an idea. If you are coming to the WWF show on 8/16/09 in Brothell, lets park next to each other and really mess with the Firebird guys heads!:p

From memory the vast majority were 302's with sludgeboxes. It would be a real collectors item if it was a 351.

I would need to ask the owner. I have been drooling over his LE for a while and have never been a big Ford fan.
He owns two of them. The one in the picture and another one with a full cage and race set up.

I am glad you like the steering wheel. It looks really good from the drivers seat. If you look in the window at it, it sucks. It doesn't sit flush over the existing emblem. Need to try something different, as I am not satisfied with the results.
I have to be in Sea-Tac all day on August 16th so I won't be at the All Pontiac show.

Just do what I did for the wheel badge. I bought the entire air bag for the car. I will take pics this week. I have the front end and badge conversion also. By the way, all of your cars are excellent.

Yes, real Cobras are very rare. I would image theres quite a few reprodutions out there. They where the big hot item when i was in high school.

Understood. I too am "self deployed". Major problem is the boss is a complete asshole!

If I could talk someone else into doing my job for the pittance I get paid, I WOULD fire me.

I am actually excited  about you other guys starting to do the Holden conversion thing. I have a tremendous amount of respect for Holden and the blokes that work there. I took large doses of bullshit when I started the rebadge last year on the '08.:p

I am proud to have a well engineered and assembled auto imported from....NOT Japan, but our fellow felons in Oz.:p It is unique.

I hope that some day there will be a few well placed Holden dealerships scattered in strategic locations in the US. There IS a market for big block, rear wheel drive "hooners" in America. I wouldn't walk a mile for a camel, but I would drive a long damn way to buy another car as sweet as my 2 G8 GT's.:flag: http://home.vicnet.net.au/~rasigsau/images/australian_flag.gif

One sad note, the HSV W427 run is complete, with all cars leaving smoking black stripes on roads everywhere. I so did want one of those beasts. :( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G2784bhdxPE

The white one with blue stripes in the garage is a 302. The bronze one, not pictured, that he owns is a 351C.

Thanks Penguin. I talked to Manofsteel earlier and he says we should get together and take pics of our cars. I can't wait to show all of you my Black Holden Commodore. I could have spent the same money and had a 500 hp car by now, but I am having too much fun confusing people. I am finally seeing people more confused than me for once.
