:woohoo: Says it all. A little refresher on my car, the saga begins (http://forum.grrrr8.net/showthread.php?t=7180)

So it is finally finished being painted and I went to pick it up today, looks good, you might never know it's been painted. Look at her shine
http://inlinethumb02.webshots.com/45313/2034033470036311313S600x600Q85.jpg

Now I have some parts sitting in my Garage that need to be insalled, and every one want to hear a stock GT with Pypes Violaters
http://inlinethumb18.webshots.com/43665/2440718330036311313S600x600Q85.jpg
so I went to town with my boy at my side:) got to start them off young. Remember I am/was Stock, no tune, 340 miles on her and been an owner for a month

Enjoy, I had fun today
the first vid I never put the key in the ignition after I remote started it, got a couple revs out of her and then she went dead...

Pic is upside down, No there is nothing wrong with the exhuast it's the reflection of the crack on my garage floor.

Now time to install my Roto Fab off with the old
http://inlinethumb15.webshots.com/45582/2963276550036311313S600x600Q85.jpg
and in with the new
http://inlinethumb40.webshots.com/42023/2726079920036311313S600x600Q85.jpg
I only had one minor problem with a missing piece, an adapter flange. Called Roto Fab and (sorry I don't know the guys name) He said he'll ship it to me. I don't know how much it is really needed cause it worked without, but when I get it in the mail I will install it.
http://inlinethumb04.webshots.com/45443/2781769630036311313S600x600Q85.jpg
This install was really pretty easy, untill I dropped the Ground bolt down through the bottom of the Roto Fab housing

Next, time to put in my Black with Black fitting Billet Catch Can.
http://inlinethumb24.webshots.com/42263/2451897370036311313S600x600Q85.jpg
I used JAMs (http://forum.grrrr8.net/showthread.php?t=7897) catch can review and got the install webpage from Billet (http://www.billetprototypes.com/G8_Catch_Can_Install.html)
http://inlinethumb55.webshots.com/43254/2554961390036311313S600x600Q85.jpg
This was an easy install, 20 minutes maybe.

Last I had to do Peterg22000s Lower Panel Mod (http://forum.grrrr8.net/showthread.php?t=6728&highlight=lower+panel+mod) This was a bitch.
http://inlinethumb41.webshots.com/42216/2851054220036311313S600x600Q85.jpg
But I got it done. I didn't paint behind it, and I have to clean up the honey comb a little more. I'll save that for a rainy day.

Product reviews Everything is an A+, and you can check my sig and click the links for where I puchased them.

The only thing I didn't put on yet were my V8 6.0 badges from crazy paul. I'm waiting on another shipment for the final unveil.

Now if I could only get a GRRRR8 deal on some heater hoses :arsekiss:

I don't think they offer it nor is it needed

If AHR's are not coated, then how do they compare heat and wear wise to coated Kooks or DT headers?

Probably on par since the Kooks and ARH use the same grade of SS 304.
My Kooks are uncoated. I don't know about the Doug Thorleys.

HERE are a FEW TEMPERATURE READINGS TAKEN at DAYTONA MOTOR SPEEDWAY:

Below are the test parameters and results using Jet-Hot Coatings® coated and uncoated headers:
(10 Laps, same engine and car with identical headers, one standard, one Jet Hot® coated. Engine is ran between 6,900 and 7,500 RPM, and temperatures are measured immediately after the last lap with the engine idling at 2,000 RPM with identical sustained EGT's of 850º.)

MEASURED AT: JET-HOT® COATED NO COATING DIFFERENCE
1" from engine 300º 750º - 450º
2" above header port (on header) 210º 300º - 90º
1" above floor pan (in car) 115º 165º - 50º

Pretty impressive difference, and with any of these coatings you should take care to not damage the headers. The thermal coating becomes part of the header material. Most of the other coating brands are comparable to these figures (if they are multi-layer, inside and outside of tube applied using proper materials).

Do the header install yourself. It's a piece of cake. :)

Good job on a productive day. :headbang:

I probably could, when I come back from vacation.
