Smoked a 300C SRT8 yesterday, I mean dogged it...I know the GC SRT-8's are supposed to be a little faster, not sure how much faster or what they're running stock.

This is probably a 5.7 LS1 Lumina, w just bolt ons. Cammed 6.0 should take the Jeeps, just maybe not off the line though. Unless equiped with drag radials :)

The 300"s come in differnt styles, Theres is the 300, 300c, 300m The m is a 13 second machine. It has the 6.0 hemi while i think the others has the 5.7 hemi. Now if you run across the v10 Dodge truck just take a picture for it will be long gone.

I might buy a Jeep as a winter car shortly. Stock form they are normally very low 13 second trucks. They have a nice stall in them from the factory and launch very well. You better have a decently modded G8 if you want to run one from a dig. Even a moron can launch them.

300 = 3.5L V6
300C = 5.7L V8
300C SRT8 = 6.1L V8

300M is the old Dodge Intrepid's fancy brother-in-law, is front-wheel-drive, and fails at performance. On that note, SRT10 Rams are slow as well, and parts to modify them are so insanely expensive that nobody does it. They're good for high 13s, which even a complete newbie of a G8 driver could pull.

A JGC SRT8 from a dig is scary. Once it gets to about 100 you're in the clear, however.

erm no... the 300m is the previous gen 300... you are thinking of the srt8 with the 6.1 L hemi... and the ram srt10's arent fast, they weigh too much...

Coming from the TBSS crowd, I can tell you that GC SRT8's are quick...low 13's stock, however a stock G8 will pull easily on one from a slow roll or highway pull. From a dig the Jeep will easily put 2 cars on you and you won't make that up til the 1/4 mile is up usually. Modded the G8 is much more potential however.

Whoever said Ram SRT-10 take a picture it will be long gone....not even close, RAM SRT-10's are only at BEST mid 13 second trucks with a great driver. They typically run upper 13's at 102mph. It would be a pretty decent race for a G8 actually.

DewieJr's comments are right on. Take SRT8 Jeeps from a roll, unless you have the ammo to take them from a dig or make up that launch distance. Or get a nice holeshot start :wink:

Yep. Was a Dodge driver before I traded in the Dakota for my G8. What I saw was a 2009 Jeep GC SRT-8. That's a 4600lb vehicle that runs a 4.7 0-60. Shaft is 420hp and 420 torque. AWD, stoplight racing is not gonna be pretty unless you have your game on and get rid of the crap-tastic stock intake and ridiculous stock torque management (Vararam and tune <add to cart>).

The "win" is their gas mileage vs. ours :nah: Best they can hope for is 14mpg average on premium fuel. Stupid to have one for a daily driver unless you swim in money like Scrooge McDuck.

Like I said, knew better than to touch it but it looks like we get them on mid- to top-end with better aerodynamics.

If you come across a black Jeep SRT-8 in Western NY that is loud as f'in hell, don't bother. New Era juiced this guy up...I think he spent somewhere in the range of 40K in mods, and you can tell. Attached is a really bad photo from my cell phone.

I got behind this guy last year before he completed the major work...damn car shook my windows and he launched like a jet. I didn't even both chasing him.

Friend at work has an 09 SRT8 superbee. We ran up at twin rivers in Temple last week. That ugly ass yellow beast is FAST. took him off the line and held nose to nose till 1/8th, then he took off. He's already done a diablo tune to it, had some track only slicks, and a CAI. I took my beat down with pride.
