Just wondering if anyone is interested in a rear Camaro SS 4 piston Brembo conversion? I did a test fitting and the calipers do fit inside the 18" GT wheels. The problem is there are more parts that need changed to make the kit work and I am currently at a price of $750.00 + shipping.
Anyone?????

You should offer a total conversion package. Front and rear. What would that run me?

Will the stock 19 incher's fit front and back?

No the 19's will not fit the front Brembos. Just the rears.

The kit is not complete. I am still in the trial stages with the rears, but I will offer the best price for the combo kit when it is available. (as long as I don't run into any further issues)

Anyone interested in doing a test fitting? I am looking for someone that wants the kit but has another car in case there is a problem and additional parts are needed. I will sell the kit to this person at cost and we will cover shipping to you on this. Closer to Ohio the better to save shipping time.

If anyone is interested shoot me a PM and I will contact you.

What is the difference between the Camaro fronts and the GXP fronts? I figure maybe do a total camaro brake package, that wa at least it matches visually front to back.

I am not sure if the Camaro calipers will fit the front of the G8 because it takes a 14mm bolt and the G8 takes a 12mm. If you can drill the front knuckle out I am sure the caliper would fit just fine.
Camaro calipers are about $100.00 cheaper each for the fronts compaired to the GXP.

That's a large rear rotor! Is it the same diameter as the fronts? Those look good.

The rear is slightly LARGER than the GXP front rotors.

If Brandon doesn't go for the rear Camaro brakes, let me know.

I'll try that out...

Still looking for someone to do some test fitting.
They will receive the kit at my cost and receive free shipping to them.

We have had many requests for this kit in Australia but I want to verify I have all needed parts included before shipping all that way.

Greg, have you been able to confirm the only difference between the Camaro SS and GXP calipers is the 14mm bolt difference?

Does the kit include the emergency brake hardware, or is the G8 GT emergency brake the same as the camaro SS?

Thanks

Yes the only difference in the front calipers is the color and required bolt size

The rear kit does include the emergency brake hardware required for the swap.

Won't the Chevy logo look at a little tacky on a Pontiac?

Have you guys tested the fronts yet on a car? If I make sure and buy wheels for a GXP will these brakes fit under them?

Greg@PacePerformance

Front GXP kit has been on over 1/2 dozen cars no issues.
The rear is another story and might go down in flames.

Mine was the first to use the Pace Kit. It fit great with no issues at all.

As long as the seller claiming the wheels fit the GXP is accurate, you should be fine.

Greg, whats happening with the rear set-up? You said it might be going down in flames! Don't say that, I really wanted to put the Camaro rears on my car! Let us know what the scoop is.......

I will eventually do the rear brake conversion but right now I have way too many irons in the fire. One more iron and I'll be looking for a divorce lawyer.

No I have not had anyone do the Camaro fronts. I know of one member here doing the CTS-V fronts so if that works the Camaro should work with no issues except for drilling the knuckle holes larger or maybe trying the aluminum Camaro knuckles.

The rears will require lots of Camaro parts to make it work if you want to keep the E-brake working. The mounting holes in the Camaro backing plate will mount to the G8 but the axle is off set very little which throws the brake shoes off. Camaro rear knuckles hubs and axles will be required.
And it might not even work if the Camaro axles will not fit the G8 diff or are longer than the G8's axles. That is where I am at with testing. Waiting on GM for parts.

Thanks for the update Greg on the Rear set-up. That sucks! Even if it still can be done it will be very exspensive to do. Keep us informed on the how the CTS-V front works out.
