I'll have an extra $2000 in a month or so to throw at my GT. On the short list of mods are an intake, exhaust and tune.

What are your thoughts on what to do with the money?

Scenario 1:
Vararam (maybe the Rotobab - can't decide)
Superchips Cortex
Corsa cat back

Scenario 2:
Vararam (maybe the Rotobab - can't decide)
Superchips Cortex
LT headers into stock exhaust

Any others I should consider? Looking for NO DRONE from the exhaust (although I'm near deaf from the drone in my '86 El Camino!) but want the G8 to be quicker (0-60 - don't care about top speed). Obviously, the Corsa will provide no drone but not much in a performance increase.

I wouldnt even consider 1 above 2

Scenario 3
-Hookers and Blow.

I dont know if $2K will cover Scenario 2 but it sounds good except for the fact that superchips cant do header tunes ;)

Vararam, Roto, or NEP OTR
And LT Kooks or ARH with stock Muffs

Call Rich from Performance Motorsports of FL and ask him about 1 3/4 Kooks with X pipe

I'd pass on the cotex and save towards a dyno tune

If you are going to do LT headers, don't do the Superchips since they don't support it. They don't support Vararam currently, but they are working on that, but don't think they plan on ever supporting headers.

You will need to go with Vector or Livernois and get their cable/tune package.

#3, pick #3

I would actually go with #2 as r33pwrd put it since the wife would kill me with #3.

Good info. Keep it coming.

I know about the Vararam and related pricing around $335. Where is the Kooks system for $1400?

For the Kooks?? I called and asked for a un coated price and was quoted over $1600

Superchips won't support headers. Go with Vector tune instead.

Where on the Maryland Speed web site is the Kooks full system less the axle back components (muffler, etc.)? Can't seem to find it.

call them. You'll have to do all the work yourself for that price, but that would definitely give you the best bang for the buck.

Vector may work a deal with ya. I got Kooks LTH's, x pipe, CAI and tune for a killer deal.
