Amp & Sub install problem

I am having a problem getting signal from the factory amp plug like others haved used. The first time I tried to use it I had too weak of a signal for the high level inputs on the amp, so I plugged the facory amp back in and tapped the signal at the factory subs. This worked for 15-30 seconds, then no sound. Now there is no signal at factory subs or at the factory amp plug. Did I blow a fuse somewhere? Any ideas? Thanks.

heres some questions and maybe you can get more help from some other members

if you plug the factory amp back in do the factory subs produce any bass?
did you check voltage?
what wire/colors are you using to make you rca input?
what brand of converter are you using?

Factory subs dont work now when I put the plug back in the factory amp, I checked voltage at the subs and at the plug with a multimeter. I got the wire colors from another post. I did get signal at first, but it went away after I tried to get a stronger signal at the subs. I have an install edge converter, tried both grounded and ungrounded. I'm thinking I must have shorted something and blew a fuse somewhere? Any fuses on the back of factory radio?
