I have read in a couple of places where the GXP exhaust is better than the G8. My question is this, what makes the GXP exhaust better than the G8?

Also, if the GXP exhaust is really good, then is there a bonafide need to spend extra bucks on either a cat back or axle back exhaust?

Good question......

The G8 GXP exhaust does sound better than the G8 GT exhaust.

Brandon's G8 GXP sounded really good....

It has a larger motor in front of it.

lol! The mid muffler is smaller and I think there are two less resonators. The mufflers are much louder which leads me to believe that they probably flow a little better.

The GXP has a true dual outlet muffler vs the G8 has a Y with dual tips.

I think the stock G8-GT exhaust system was made with several compromises with the goal being to reduce drone when the AFM kicked in. The GXP does not have this to worry about.
Does the GXP have the short flex section in front of each rear muffler ?
Edit....Nope.
