Just finished the install last night. Looks good to me, 1 and the front and just a little over 3/4" in rear. Handles great with a little stiffer ride. Here are before and after. $231.00 from the tirerack for all four.

I'll post some more with my 19's today, I need to get the front end aligned this morning after I get the specs from my local dealer.

Looks GRRRR8! The stance is much improved over stock.

How hard was the install? Something your average suspension guy could do? I had Eibachs on my Z28s and it was a huge improvement over stock. Does the rear of the car feel more planted now? I get a little bouncy around corners above 80MPH.

It took about 3 hours, thats about it, had a little problem on the drivers side rear, the passenger side was then easy, it was our suspension guys first dealing with the g8. The front was a breeze. Mine never bounced at any speed stock, so I can't comment on that, it feels definetly stiffer and I haven't had a chance to drive it very far. We need to get the alignment done this morning and then I'll take it for a nice drive. Love your blue car.

That looks good! :zing:

I wonder if a Midas or something like that here could do that install??

I could probably do the back but the front??? Me don't think so...

I would probably replace the strut bushings while up there too.

Did you look at yours?

That does look good, and it shouldn't be a problem on the curbs either.

Cheers!

I'm a little confused in that this is a 1" drop in the front and "doesn't look too low and should be OK on curbs" but my .7 drop in the front is low and can be a curb problem.

1 inch in the front and .8 in the rear, rear looks lower to me for some reason. Optical illusion.

waiting to see with 19's.....

Its all smokin mirrors. I have my wheels back on now, I just haven't taken the pics. I will later. It measure almost exactly 1 and .8. It may be the angle. The drivers side in the rear is just slightly lower. It was from the factory also, it may just be the fender well opening. My drivers side rear tire is closer to the front of the opening then it is on the passenger side. I posted that when I got the car, there is nothing the alignment tech can do. Check yours, its probably the same way.

Yep, 1/8 inch difference. I thought I had good eyes, how did you catch that?

The thing to do is to measure from the bottom of the lower side of wheel rim to the lip of the fender. Do it right through the center line of the wheel. Then we can compare hieght for height with my Pedders drop springs. MM is good but we can convert inches.

My front is 635mm (25 1/16") and the rear is 616mm (24 1/4").

My garage is as level as it gets, I put the car in the exact spot, with the exact tire pressures before and after. I'm pretty much right on the money. I've done this a few times, at least 20 cars and trucks, according to my wife more then that. Whos counting, well she is.

Put some weight in your trunk and you'll feel the bounce :zing:

Had a new Blue M6 come to a stop looking at my car in front of Costco. Made me proud.

Question: Wonder why Eibach lowers the front more than the rear, when Pedders seems to have the advantage with dropping the rear more than the front...since the rear (with no weight in trunk) sits high stock. Does Eibach assume everyone will have a sub box to level it out LOL? Thy both look level in the pictures, so I'm just confused.

And, don't forget pedders has several spring choices for drop or no drop or less drop.

The after picture is from my mobile, so it sucks. I love the springs. A fairly easy install too. (just need an alignment now)

I'd MUCH rather do the fronts than the rears. Had both front assemblies out of the car in 15 minutes. The rear? Not so much.

I did the backs first because they looked easier. Neither were difficult. The fronts are very self explanatory, the rears were a little difficult to get them out of the trailing arms.

For me, the biggest problem with the fronts were that the springs were replaced by the dealer early on due to a clunking noise and they rounded off the nuts. I hope the jam nuts I found at the local hardware store don’t move!
