SVT Kill and a save, all in 5 min.

So I was heading back up to college for summer school when I spotted an '02 SVT. My G8 GT is stock so I figured why the heck not. I pulled up beside him on the highway and noticed his GF in the passenger seat. I didn't want to be "that guy" and race with a lady in the car, but as soon as I arrived he took off. We both gunned it from 70 to 120 and I easily had 2 lengths on him, but I had to slam on the brakes when I looked up to see an old 80's 'ish Camry with a blow-out tire ROLLING off the freeway. Lucky for the driver, I'm and EMT and was able to stop the heavy bleed from his right forearm until the ambulance got there, and yes, I made sure I didn't track any blood back into my G8. A kill and a save all in 5 minutes not a bad day.:boxing:

I think he meant the car was rolling, not the tire.

right, the car rolled, when i got to it it was in a cloud of dust and on its side.

Thats what I was thinking, because they didn't make a 02 Cobra.....so it was a 01 Cobra if it was a mustang you raced.

must have been an '01 cobra then, my bad. I'm not a mustang man, I just guessed relative year based off of body style, not bad if I was only off a year. thanks for the catch.

Yeah, the 01 cobras were pretty disappointing. Good on you for the save, a lot of people would have just kept driving... Judging from your location I'm guessing your an Aggie and that's one person who won't ever make fun of Aggies again. Gig 'em!:thumbsup:

Nice kill - I mean save. I see the videos on-line of people getting hit by cars and other things and bystanders just walk by. Definitely not like in the US where many people stop to lend a hand.
