Loving the overhead DVD setup. If I didn't already have one put in, I'd be ordering that setup. Anything under the center popup on the center of the dash, or just a cubby?

Not much room under there for anything except vent controls and ducting etc.

I very much prefer these gauges and center screen. They appear to be more legible; could just be the photos, though.

Did everyone miss the fact that pulling down is an upshift and pushing up is a downshift!?!? damn that would feel sweet for 1-2 shifts.

TRIVIA:
The Police Force here in my state at one stage refused to buy a fleet of new Commodores because the auto gear selector worked in the opposite direction to their existing Fords. The Police Commisioner deemed his staff too stupid to be retrained. (They also weren't allowed to have V8's because they were too scary).

Why couldn't that interior color be an option here?

What are the buttons with the traction control? Looks like sport shift and parking lights, but aren't those located elsewhere like ours?

The "P" one looks like it might be the backup sensors.

Just curious would that rear bumper fit on a G8 without swapping the tail-lights?:twocents:

You'd have a huge gap below the G8 tail lights.

Looks a little bit more comfy.. the over head is nice and the little cover at the bottom of the (vertical) centre console is interesting.

The Calais has an entirely different centre console to the G8.
Note the radius at the bottom where the curved lid storage compartment is on the Calais, and also the curve at the front of the gear surround.

This Calais curved type Compartment or Calais Front part of smokers pack will not fit into the stock G8 centre console stack.

I bet you that would be as simple as swapping some wires around.

The ole electronic reverse valve body trick. :)

Memory, even?

Sheesh. I would not have hesitated to pay $1000 more for the car if it had those seats, a spare tire, autodim, and a freakin glovebox light.
