Have we figured out what it takes to get XM into an 08 model yet, using factory parts?

I can't search XM, not enough letters...

If we knew for sure what was different I'm sure we could do some horse-trading. ;) I'm sure there are others that are in the same boat.

I asked the service guy at the dealership last week about XM on mine and he said the '08 model has a different type of antenna that cannot receive the signal. I want to say the code for the radio was something like UM-something and what it is needed is a U2-something. Sorry if I had seen this thread before hand I would have gotten more info for you guys.

No big deal. I'm in there once a week ordering parts so I'll drill them a little bit.

I'm sure the antenna is no big deal to change. I wonder if the 08 radio would work provided I had the rest of the equipment.

Interesting, I'm getting a new roof according to my insurance statement, along with a new hood, trunk, both pass. doors, and pass fender. I wonder if the dealership could upgrade my antenna as well. It'll be worth a shot to ask!
