Thanks and the site is looking good. I hope the will make the car launch better so I can bring my ets down, little more aero on the big end of the track. Should be going again a week from this Friday. Got to drop into the 13.60's, hopefully, 13.82 is my best so far with 101 top speed and 2.11 to 60ft.

Interesting. Looking forward to photos and driving impressions. My Pedders springs dropped the front about .7 and the rear about 1.2 inches.

Seeing as you will be taking your struts apart to mount the new springs, give some thought to new mounts and bearings. When we did my springs my mounts had already colapsed several mm and there have been a number of reports of others seeing the same or worse.

We will definetly look at that. Gm should have not used such crappy stuff and you wouldn't have had to replace those on a brand new car.

The design of the perch is sort of the GTO but not as bad. I've seen a LOT of GTO mounts and they take a real beating. there are not enough user miles on our G8s yet to know the extent but it should not be as bad as GTOs. GM changed the angle and felt it would be an improvement.

There is speculation that ourmount colapse is the result of the G8 being strapped down very hard for the trip to the states. i hope that is the reason mine were should signs of damage and that now that they are replaced with the Pedders mounts and bearing they will last longer. To maintain peak performance the GTO mounts and bearing, some suggest, should be replaced almost yearly.

Last Saturday i was at the Pedders Day at Rocksand Racing and they did various upgrades to about 10 GTOs. Serveral included mounts so we got to see their used mounts side-by-side with new mounts and the old ones looked awful!

Don't know if you need to replace or not but by the time you have the strut out and spring removed, you have done all the labor to replace the mounts anyway so it will never be cheaper, from a labor standpoint.

When you post pics, can you post where you got them and your opinion of the transaction please? More than likely, I will be doing the same. I would have ordered them, but the last time I checked it was an October release date.

Just got the install done, I'll post pics later as its raining pretty hard here at the lake. It all went well except we couldn't get the specs for alignment. We got done to late and our local dealer was getting ready to close. I'll get those tomorrow and we'll get er done.

Pics for you to view. Before and after and I put my stock wheels back on to align. I'll post pics with my 19's when I get them back on. Plus my dropped shortbed.
