Yea, totally. I was at the track one time and this dude with a white Dodge Stealth Twin Turbo AWD kept smokin' me at the 60' to 330'.... but then it was bub-bye! The guys was really cool though, we talked, and must have raced like 6 times. He kept running low, low, low 13's, and couldn't quite hit the 12's. I was pulling for him too.

His 1.7 60 foots to my 2.0's (more like 2 point slows).......

P.S. I would have loved to race that STi in the OP's original post... :)

Get the dradials and it will be bye bye sti..my setup is 17" gto wheels n nitto 555r 275/45/17. They stick pretty good for me, but you have alot more power than I do. I heard the mickey Thompson drag radials r much better for the track..

Man, just thinking about running on drag radials is making me wish I already had them. I think I should just bust out the credit card and charge it up, and pay for it later.

Wheels & tires.... that's not that bad....

Mickeys are more of a Drag tire that can be used on the street where as the Nitto's are more of a street tire that can be used on the dragstrip. Mickeys are MUCH more sticky than Nitto's but thay also wear allot faster too. If you want DR's for daily driving around everywhere then get Nitto's. If you plan to have a totally separate set of rear wheels and sticky tires for track outings and the occasional meets elsewhere then MT's.

I personally run a full set of C6Z wheels with MT DR's out back and Dunlop Direzza's on my G8 for track days.
