Is your GT a manual? either way if your looking for a clutch check out monster. I had one in my gto and was happy with it. It was reccomended by someone that had bad luck with a spec stage III

Have you done an M6 swap? If so some swap pics and info would be nice!

If so check out all the sponsors, I'm sure one of them has one. Beware of the SPEC though. I've driven a 'Vette, TA, and Cobra all with SPECs and in every single one the engagement was harsh and it chattered like crazy. Each time I drove a car with one I was less and less impressed with them, but that's only my .02c

Yea..I'd watch out for the spec also. I had there stage II (kevlar disk)clutch in my srt-4...it was terrible. I believe every stage II in the srt had problems. My buddy toasted his stage III very quick. The kevlar ones, when they get hot the disk material gums up and rolls off in little balls...not good.

well, in saudi arabia, we call it Lumina SS which is non-DOD, LS2 and M6.

Which is what GM should bring over here! Do you have any pics of your SS?

Stay away from SPEC. I had one in my previous Solstice and had to replace it twice (think labor time to drop the trans) due to premature wear. The trans, clutch plate, fly wheel were all aligned. Also, make sure whichever clutch you get has dual torsional springs. Most aftermarket spring have only one torsional spring and they start transmitting a lot of noise.
I had better luck with Excedy clutches in the Solstice.

My $0.02

I would look into a Textralia OZ700 over a SPEC. It's pricey but is a kick ass clutch, holds over 700rwtq.

well, in saudi arabia, we call it Lumina SS which is non-DOD, LS2 and M6.

It's actually an L98 6.0 engine.
Best bang for the buck is still the LS7 clutchkit.
You need to change out the flywheel to either the Corvette LS2/LS7 flywheel or you can use the Fidanza aluminium LS7 flywheel.

The stock LS7 clutchkit with LS2/LS7 Y body flywheel can be had for around US$450 ex USA.
It has stock feel and manners.

RPO codes are GM designations for certain parts on the car.

Here is a link to Chief Pontiac's post on G8 RPO codes.
