Not very impressed so far. They sent the wrong O2 extension with the headers and now that my car is in the shop torn apart I call and the guy won't even help me out, says I have to get the people I bought it from to call them.

Luckily my installer is also a kooks dealer so he will call them. What do think my chances of them overnighting it are? Slim would be my guess.

I know at least one other person got the wrong cable too. my advise- if you bought Kooks, check your shit before install time or you may be wasting a lot of time.

odd, kooks is usually on top of stuff. I will call George R. and make sure he is aware of this issue...

My installer is a Kooks dealer and has already called. They have a workaround I was just told. Big relief.

This should do nicely for that :)

They are good guys, but even the best can have a hiccup now and then. I know they will make it right in the long run for you...

Apparently there's a workaround that involves trimming one of the connectors slighty, don't have the details but my installer said it's good. Might be a good idea to put that in the instructions or something so people don't freak?

Don't forget a soundclip when your car is done! I think I want to go with Kooks.

Jay (ManofSteel) didn't like the sound of his but I like loud so hoping I'll like them. Unfortunately I'm not set up to so video or sound.

Tom, will you be selling your stock mufflers? I want to switch out my Magnaflows I built.

On the ARH it only uses an extension on the drivers side and the passenger side is just unclipped to free up some slack.

Not sure yet. At this point I have stocks, MF catback, and Kooks. If I don't like Kooks I will either go with stocks or have the MF catback cut to fit. Just not sure yet.

Not sure yet. Brent has to coordinate with Kirk at Vector to get the tune done. He was hoping to get it done today but I haven't anything yet.

Yea, I slept good. She's in good hands.

They are designed to be used as part of a Kooks system :) With a full 1 3/4" Kooks system WITH cats the drone is pretty decent, at least IMHO but then again I dont have a cam ect hehe

With how simple the axle backs are you should just get a flange on the other end and mount up mufflers till you find a set you like. Corsa has some mufflers I think may have the right chamber size for the G8 and you not having DoD will make it that much easier to find a tone you like :)

I've got the full kooks system. Everyone who's heard it says it sounds great. Like I said on the other boards, I had more drone with just the axlebacks on than the whole system.

Yeah but if you listen to what KooKs says in their video the axlebacks will work just fine on their own. I still have them on my car but I wish I wouldn't have bought them. I really don't want to spend another $1500 [headers & midpipes] to get a pair of $500 mufflers to sound decent.

My full Kooks has some drone but overall I like the sound, sounds very mean. Just hoping its not loud enough to draw unwanted police attention. Don't think it is though but have not yet heard a drive-by from outside the car.
