Good deal, I put this on my phone calender to remind me. Be nice if some Ohio guys can meet up and cruise over there.

What class would the G8's be put in? Or will they have a new class if they have enough entries??

As of right now the G8 will be in 97+ full size, but if 5+ G8 show up they say they will have a class for us.

I am going to try and make it to the Sunday car show. Anyone else?

I'm not sure if I'll be doing Sat. or Sun., it will depend on what day a couple other buddies decide to go with their T/As.

Are you showing? If you are I think the show on Saturday is two days long.

Are you sure? The way their site reads is that the Saturday show is Saturday and Sunday and then there is a Sunday only show.

I am coming all the way from Wisconsin for the 14th straight year. This is an awesome event! I will be racing my GXP in Stock. I don't want to deal with the hassle of trying to show and race. I prefer to race anyway! Hope to see others there.

Event really blew for G8's. They had no seperate class for us. I showed in a Custom 1970's and newer class. Stood no chance in hell there. Met the guy from SLP.....What a dick. I wouldn't buy a car from them if it was buy one Firehawk get the second one free. Did meet a couple of the fellas, and talked with a couple of guys that didn't know about our site, or any of them for that matter. Lol! I have some pics to post, but I'm just not feeling it right now. Going to just soak in the AC. :)

I was not impressed by the Firehawk. The wheels do look nicer in person and I would not mind having thoses brakes. But like you pointed out it was lame how they just painted the lower grills and did not do somthing diffrent with the front end.

Hey MANOFSTEEL69, sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you, but your G8 looked great! Even if there had been enough G8s there to qualify for a dedicated class, you would have been put where you were because your car truly is a "Custom 1970's and newer." Next year, come play with us over on the racing side. You would have really turned some heads and had a good time! They wouldn't have had you competing with stock G8s. It's a shame that there were only 5 total G8s in the show. There was you in Custom, someone with a Base White Hot G8, pe63807 and BlueJacket, and Gene Scheer's MSM A6 GXP onyx/red with sunroof. There were also at least 3 of us racing. I had my WH M6 GXP onyx/red no sunroof. There was Allan from VA with his LR GT, and a guy from Canada (can't remember his name) with a PBM GT with Holden rear wing. Maybe next year there will be more. Even with the rain on Saturday it was a blast. I'm glad that I got to chat briefly with pe63807 (great car!), and wish I could have met BlueJacket as well. I'll be there next year for the 15th year in a row, so see you then, hopefully along with many other G8s!

The did end up spliting the G8s out of full size. pe63807 got 3rd' Gene got 2nd and I took 1st.

I will be back next year for Sunday for sure and may try to do Saturday and Sunday. I hope we can get more G8's to show.

Congrats on getting 1st, and I'm glad they split out the class. If more members had shown up, it would have been easier to get them to do that. Pete and Andi Woodruff from Super Duty Promotions are great folks, and they try to make it a great event for everyone. I hope to meet you next time!
