It wont work with either key. My DIC says it's enabled. Any suggestions, tell me what I'm doing wrong.

did you try hitting the lock button twice before pressing the start button?

Mine is sometimes a little finicky. Have to hit the lock button and then hold the remote start button; lights will flash and then about 2 seconds later it will start. Seems like a long time and sometimes I don't hold the remote start button long enough after I see the lights flash.

I think my battery is low on my remote after 1 year. All my other remotes have lasted 3+ years.

Service said it's not covered under bumper to bumper warranty, really?

You dont have a "check engine light" on do you? It wont work if its on or the hood is open.

Mine is falling apart too. I have to keep snapping the end with the key pivot back together.

Twice? I hit my lock button once, then hold down the start button until started.

Have you tried this?

Remote transmitter batteries are maintenance items and only covered for 12 months 12k miles. :) the Transmitter itself is covered for the bumper to bumper period.

Yes, it's twice. If you've locked your car (and I hope EVERYONE locks their car, no matter where they are) and walked away, then you need to "lock" it again then start the car.

If the car is open, you need to hit lock twice, then start.

Car horn sounds on second lock.

At least, that's how it operates on the '08s.

It's only once for my 08. I typically only use it to warm up the car in the garage because any where else is worthless because the range is so short for the remote start. My car is unlocked in the garage and it only requires a single push of the lock and holding down the start button until it starts.

Well for shits and giggles I tried this and wah la she fired up. This is a worthless option I too have to stand out the front door to start the car. I was trying to start it like any NORMAL remote start I've owned, just hit the start button.

Anyways it works I guess Thanks all

Glad it worked for you.

I've thought about getting the longer range 2-way remote start, but I don't use it that often. But then again, if it had better range maybe I would!

I thought I saw a DIY on how to extend the range, pretty much your just extending the antenna wire and running it up through your A-piler. If I find it I'll post it...

ever seen the trick to put the fob under your chin and increase your range.

google it.. I think it works! tried it a few times and it seems to give more range.

Yes, but this has been definitively linked to Brain cancer even after as few as two times of use. :surprise:
