I heard this pop today, for the first time. I took a right turn, from a stop, pretty deep in the throttle. It was about a 45 degree turn, and as I was straightening out, I heard a loud pop. I don't really know where it came from, other than "somewhere" under the car.

Any ideas?

Happened to me as well last week. I'm wanting to say its the plagued bushing symptoms starting to appear.

there has been a bulletin out about popping noises and them being fixed by control arm replacement. I looked and cant find anything except the strut mount bulletin, but that will make noise even when just turning the wheel at a stop.

Could be the washer on top of the strut bushing coming in contact with the mount area. I've heard of that happening.
