That info has not been released yet. All we currently have so far is the total G8 production run amount which is 14XX (I can't remember exactly)

dude I know where another one like yours sits on a dealers lot and I had my choice to buy it, as a matter of fact the dealer begged me to buy it. Looking at it as you do having 1 of those 334 would have been awesome but i was not buying my g8 to collect, i needed transportation to work. which is 61 miles one way. the 20mpg highway + gas guz tax + the extra 4-5 thousand added to the sticker didn't make since to me.. and still dont.. not for my use of the car. congrads on a low production pontiac. u wont see yourself coming and going and thats cool. I guess I should have got the red or white GT on the lot instead of the black but i didnt know the black would be the highest number made, hell the only color GT my dealer didnt have was a blue of any type. oh well doesnt matter. I like black, it gets me to work, its got a good warranty.

IOM's are 2nd rarest to that blue/purple color (whatever it is :nah: ).

*sigh* only 45 PSM 09 GXP made. I test drove one and didn't buy it. DOH! I didn't like the F3 suspension over bumps, the weird feel of the steering wheel, and ultimately was dead set against anything that had no AFM and a gas guzzler tax on premium fuel.

Someone else ended up buying it. I see it on MoPac once in a blue moon, it has to be the only one of its kind in town if not Texas. I wonder if the owner knows what they have. Oh well.

hard to fathom they only made 26,404 of these cars! Rare breed for sure

If you really want to blow your mind, try finding a 2009.5 (9L3 VIN) with sport, premium and *no sunroof*. In any color.

I found plenty of 9L3 cars with sport/premium/no sunroof. What I can't find is a 9L3 car with sport/premium/sunroof. I've been looking (along with two dealers) for a week. The couple we have found are dealer demos, etc. etc. and I don't want one that someone else probably beat the snot out of.

You're correct, I had my wires crossed. No sunroof is easier to find.

Well I gave it the old college try but ended up drowning in a sea of black and liquid red 09.5 G8 GT. Not that there's anything wrong with that but any other color with the full suite of options (sport/premium/sunroof) appears to be hard to find, at least on line.

What was particularly interesting was coming across SBM and PSM GXPs. I would have expected these to be long gone. For as few GXPs as were made those two colors are out there to be picked up by a lucky buyer.

a lot of people have done aftermarket ones for around a grand, and they say they are fantastic. I'm thinking about it for next year.

The dealer had one installed in my car before I bought it, and it cost around $700. Charlotte Sunroof did an excellent job installing it. I have no problems with leaks or noise whatsoever. It's supposed to come with a lifetime warranty (to the original owner).

Yes. You have Bluetooth integrated with the sound system from the factory and you're not Panther Black or Liquid Red ;)

I'm pretty sure mine's the only one with a Black/Red pinstripe... I would also be interesed in an option breakdown as well as interior colors as I have the black/red seats.

On the GM Airbag Recall thread (http://forum.grrrr8.net/showthread.php?t=28397), I posted the official letter that GM sent to the NHTSA about the airbag recall issue. Here's a link to the letter:

This letter is interesting to me, because it's the only time I've ever seen anything official from GM on production figures for the 2008/2009 G8's.

The GM numbers are similar to what the "G8Nation" website (now defunct) came up with for the 2008 MY and what Sellers Auto subsequently came up for the 2009 MY.

It appears that all G8s for the 2008/2009 Model years are affected. As such, GM indicates in the letter to NHTSA that a total of 38,444 G8s were produced for the two years as follows:

2008: 12,043 produced from 11/2/2007 to 2/5/2008

2009: 26,401 produced from 5/7/2008 to 1/22/09

Again, these numbers differ slightly from the numbers provided by G8Nation and Sellers Auto. It's just another puzzle piece for those of us interested in more information on G8 production figures. Still looking to get a better breakdown for the 2008 MY--wonder if that will ever happen!
