i am about to order a tune and a new era cai i am thinking superchips
i am not going to heavily mod anytime soon and all i really do is play
around on the street
my question is i have read tons of posts about this tune some say
around 20 hp and some say 5 or 6 is there anyone who has this tune
that has had it on a dyno to see what it is?
i also have a 2008 Chevrolet truck and is it true that the superchips will
work on it as well? that is another reason i am thinking about the superchips
but if it is only good for 5 hp then i will spend the extra cash to get the
vector tune
also i have never done a tune like vector and it makes me nervous to do it myself i also hate to wait on the mail is there a tuner in the Houston area that can do that I'm on the southwest side of town and what would it cost
and if there is something better out there let me know those are the 2 with
the most posts

I love mine and don't be concerned about dynos. Mine picked up almost a 1/2 second in the 1/8 mile, I have not been able to run a full quarter yet as the track is now running mostly 1/8 this seaon. You won't be unhappy with your decision to buy the cortex. I would also consider the NewEra OTR over the CAI. My OTR/Cortex are a nice combo.
Good luck in your choice.

I was hesitant as well, but I'm very happy with the results. Even if the other ones are slightly better, this is more than enough. Going back to stock on a whim is worth it with the warranty. The tune itself is very strong as well for a canned tune. You'll lose the difference, especially with the tranny.
