View Full Version : Jeremy Formato Tuning and Porting in Gettysburg PA June 13-20th

Hey everyone. Jeremy will be in Gettysburg PA @ Keiths PitStop Tuning and porting from June 13-20th.

The cost of tuning is $400 + 75hr for the dyno. If you are just looking for a street tune he can also do that for $300 w/ WB o2. We work very hard on each and every vehicle until every customer is happy and the vehicle is spot on.

We will have ported LS2/LS7 Intake manifolds for $300 and the LS2/LS7 throttle bodys for $150 all readily available. When they are done together it is discounted to $400. Installation is free!
The typical gains on the LS2 Intake manifold porting is 11rwhp/13rwtq. Porting the TB is a very nice SOTP difference, You will not see much of a gain on the dyno but your vehicle will be 10x more fun to drive and your throttle response will be greatly increased.
Porting the LS1 TB's is $100 installed. This will also greatly improve your throttle response. This is all on a core exchange basis.

If anyone is interested in having any headers or other work, we can get that done with enough notice, please call the shop to schedule an appt for this. We do have parts in stk.

We will be requiring a $100 deposit to hold the spots.

Here are some graphs of some cars that we dynoed, tuned, and swapped the intakes and TBs. Some are direct A-B swaps and show the results. Some are Base runs then a rough tune and then we swap the intake and TB, and then fully optimize the tune.

1st is a Stk 07 LS7 ported and tuned: 1st is base, 2nd is base tune, 3rd is ported and tuned completely.

Obviously the larger motors wanted the larger manifold more than a smaller motor but we have had an LS2 with one of our ported LS2s on it Put a ported FAST on there and pick up 22RWHP and 30RWTQ on a 6L bolt-on 07 vette

BTW we can handle any install such as head cam headers.
We do have a New in box VR for G8. Look forward to hearing from you.

Just want to vouch for these guys. Had the ported stuff thrown on with my street tune, and I'm still very happy with the car. It's run consistent 13.3's at 106-107 with no other mods...

I'll add my recommendation. Jeremy is fantastic to work with. He knows his stuff and he spends as much time as is needed until you are happy. Totally recommended for any service he offers.

What do you have for the G8 GT's? I know I don't exactly have a LSx engine, but would like a ported TB and intake manifold. What do we do in such a scenario, use intakes/tb's from other versions of the engine like the LS6?

In other words, what ported intake manifolds and throttlebodys fit my car, and how much would it cost me to get this done?

yeah, but I always figured it'd be nice for him to answer it once instead of over and over again.

So far, research shows me that the G8 GT L76 engine has the same TB as the LS2/3/7. So, that answers that part of the puzzle.

I just need to discover the differences in intake manifolds now. I found L76 vs LS3, but just need to see how it compares to the 2/6/7 now.

I'll probably give him a call early next week, once I figure out what I want to do.

Cool, I wasn't sure if he was porting our manifolds, or using manifolds off of other LSx engines that bolt directly on.

Mainly I was trying to figure out the core situation. Trying to decide if I need to catch him inn PA, or do stuff by mail.

Hello, Yes we have cores in stk. You would use the same version intake and TB that came from the car, LS3/L76 but ported. I would love to help you guys out. I am very busy but I try to answer my phone whenever possible and always return calls if I miss any. I do prefer for you to give me a ring as it is much faster than typing ;)

Are you just tuning the ECM or do you also tune the TCM ??

If I wanted a ported intake and TB...would my car need a retune ??? What about just a TB ??

I'll answer since I'm here and Jeremy isn't....

He tunes both ECM and TCM. A tune can bring out the best in the ported parts but isn't absolutely required.

If you do one, you gotta do the other too Roy. :)

I'm sure you'll really like both mods, I want to do both + maybe an underdrive pulley / harmonic balancer.....
