2004 cobra

my buddy has an 04 cobra(supercharged and cat back), and i really want to race him. He thinks he will kill me, he probably will but i dont think he is the greatest driver. So what im asking is, is there a possibility that i can beat him with driver error?

also he has drove the car only twice in the last 2 years.

what do those cars run in the 1/4 mile?

and ive always wondered what makes a cobra a terminator?

Driver error can make the fastest cars on earth lose races badly. So yes. Race him and hope he screws up. If he only did a catback and hasn't played around with the pulley, you should be fine.

If he didn't do anything with the pulleys, you have a chance If you drive good. You sure he only has a cat-back? No tune or anything?

Those cars are unsuspectingly fast, even w/ a poor driver. Its the Only car I ever fear on the road, even when I had my GTO b/c you never know how modded it is. Reason being they are sooo easy to mod at far less than we would spend and they still seem stock (like pulley change). Can you beat him? Anythings possible, but I seriously doubt you will unless you gain some rwhp or he just sucks at life! LOL!

No chance in hell of you beating him if he drives it well. Those car's are a high 12 vehicle in stock form no problem. Real good drivers have pushed them past 12.5's in bone stock form.

Now if he screws up then anything is game. Honestly driver error on his part will be the only way you would have any real chance.

Yeah the build code name. I didn't realize that it ever made it onto any of the body panels of the early builds though.

Terminators are the only cobras I WILL NOT MESS WITH. Until I've seen under the hood. ;) There is a guy up here that has a black one that thinks he's the hot shit. He told my husband that he was doing 13.3s, when we were doing 13.5s stock! I'd love to see what he does now.. teehee.

I just drove my first termi tonight and all i can say is DAMN!!! haha Its my buddy's car its an 04 pullied with a stock blower and bolt ons it made 420 on a mustang dyno, but i know its the fastest car I've ever driven. A distant second goes to my other buddy's cammed LS1 Z.

nah--it was on 275/40r17 mickey thompson et-street radials---dumped clutch at 5k rpm & doesn't spin a lick. Car has full suporting mods, cams, 4.10s, etc--need to step up to 60# injectors really, but im debating about selling it & picking up a 2010 stang

I have a whipple on my first 03 cobra it ran low 11's high 10's on M/T's on the street. From a roll the car was scary fast
My ported eaton 03 felt fast but it was just spinning the tires. It ran 12.2 @ 116 on junk drag radials
