Well, its all been finalized, she's being detailed as I type, picking up my new silver with onyx interior, manual 6, G8 GXP tomorrow evening, first things first, putting ultra high performance all season tires on her, any suggestions? Man I'm as excited as a fat kid in a candy store!

Glad to hear your up and running. Thought you were going with an A6?

Since she is going to be my only vehicle and a daily driver, I doubt she'll see track time, that coupled with the 3.70 gears, oil/transmission cooler swayed me toward the manual, plus my wife is going to have to learn to drive a manual before she takes off in my car, although I wouldn't be where I am today without her, I have control of one thing, my vehicle, and want to keep it that way! She can decide what retarded color of paint we are painting the hallway, I don't care! I do have complete control over what I do to my car!

Congrats. I thought about doing the upgrade myself, but with all I have into my current G8, I'd lose out even more. Silver is the color I really wanted to begin with.

Congrats. Good luck with the new car. I hear what you are saying about the car being in your control. The wife has pretty much control over the rest of the house, the garage and my car...NO! - Lance

Congrats Eyemuffs! Welcome to my car! I'm secretly glad you're getting the manual transmission. They are so much fun!

I'd do this same exact thing, but my dealer has a nice mark-up on their white GXP. They want a good $43k for it, when the current offers run $36k according to Pontiac's website. They've got a $3k advertising fee on the window. lol

Good pick-up though, I'm jealous!

I really like the M6 transmission... it was one of the main factors as to why I bought a GXP. The LS3 and M6 is a wonderful combination.

Picking her up as I type, one correction, she's magnetic gray metallic, 8 miles on her and already comes with all season performance tires, I'm mad pumped!

A few hours later...Well I officially have a boner!

So what should be on the list of upgrades? Already did the catch can and hood scoops mod, waiting until between 5000 to 10000 miles befores I do exhaust and intake, 1 7/8" kooks headers and VMS tune after that, cam or supercharge/turbo it? She handles much better, especially in the rain, with the all season high performance tires. Oh, I CAN DRIVE NOW! I've shot my wad already! Need a clean pair of shorts!

Awesome...just keep this one on the pavement securely, as a start;)

Otherwise, fun, and a nice color change, now subdued.
