Sorry if this is posted elsewhere, I'm not the best on computers. My buddies at work are saying the G8 GXP times in the 1/8 mile are 11.4, and the 1/4 mile were in the upper 13 to 14 secs. I can't find the times posted but I don't believe their reports, if you have ran your G8 GXP what is your time?

Those times are slower than reality by a fair amount.

Not 14s, high-mid 13s with a high MPH, because some people are having a hard time launching them with the stiffer suspension.

I heard they were at 13.0?

That is a horrible 1/8 mile time and does not really makes sense if they are running high 13s...

GT's run faster than that. I would say more like high 12's low 13's with traction.

no they do the first 1/8 in 11 seconds, and then the top end power kicks in and they do the next 1/8 in 2 to 3 seconds

Are you talking about M6? I already ran 12.80@110 stock w/ my A6?

I find that hard to believe as well, but anything's possible.

Sorry, but the math just does not work. An 11 sec 1/8th works out to about a 17 sec 1/4!
Real times (stock) would be in the 8.3 - 8.6 sec 1/8th, with the 1/4 going by in about 13 flat. Even without the driver mod, 1/4 times should easily be under 13.5!

1/8 mile times should be mid to high 8s, 1/4 should be low 13s with decent/average drivers.

I find that hard to believe as well, but anything's possible.

I can easily run 12.8s on stock tires with my car. That is babying it out of the hole to a 2.1-60', so my converter is no advantage.

I have comparable (I would guess) horsepower to a GXP.

Yes Jay is a good driver. Without his help I'd still be trying to get an 11 second run.

With 500 miles on the odometer (2009 G8 GXP A6) and a DA of +2000, I turned a 13.28 @ 106 at Houston Raceway Park. Given more break in miles and some negative DA in November- March the car should be in the high 12's.

My only mod was a roto fab CAI, and I only made 4 passes. Given more passes and let the night cool down I may have hit a 13.teen, but I don't think I could have hit a high 12 on that night.

I need to learn how to keep the car from going into 4th about 100 feet short of the finish line, which may cost a tenth or two.

The car was running great, just ask the guy in the white C6 vette. :spank:

You cant hold 3rd in the GXP due to the gearing, you will hit the rev limiter, ask me how I know:oops:

I ran the 12.5 in my sig on stock 19" tires and stock converter with a 1.89 60', so yeah it is possible.

Agree Wreck. +1

I bet that a lot of the cars on this forum would kick a stock GXP's ass. Which is, of course, the reason we mod them just a touch.:p

Well, more than a touch in some cases.....
