can you fit a LS7 cam to a LS3 cause they had told me that u can i wanna make sure if its true about that. guys help me out

There are differences in cams. Make sure it is for your application. Serious engine damage can result if there is an issue.

I'm sure there are LS3 specific cams out there. I wouldn't just swap an LS7 cam in, you will be much happier with a matched setup. Look up C6 vette goodies.

GMPerformanceParts.com actually offers as a crate motor an LS3 with a hot cam. You should be able to get that cam. I doubt the LS7 cam is compatible, but I could be wrong. They could be the same cam!

The GM hotcam will give you a nice lope but little HP gains. Check out Futural (sp?), they have some very nice grinds that have been proven time and time again. These cars would be monsters with a set of LT's, patriot heads and a nice cam :)

LS7 cam is on a different base circle, the ls7 uses much longer pushrods, too much trouble not enough juce
