What are the Gray things around the springs for? See picture.

Do they keep the springs from touching under full load?
They are needed on aftermarket springs as well :)

I think they're supposed to keep the twang down to a minimum.
My Pedders do not have them. I have no noise.

Something similar to the isolators on my TA. Noise suppression, for the top coil not to come into contact with any metal.

They prevent metal on metal contact during compression of the spring.

they simply keep the springs from clanging around
We keep them on the pedders springs as well
