Hope this works, first attempt at posting pictures. Here are some of the exhaust so far. sorry some are blurry but i think you can see enough.
Haven't decided what to do about trim around pipes yet if any, what do you guys think? Hangers adjustable to center pipes in the openings or to allow rubber to move over time. Opinions?

Thanks, Kim

You know you have two spoilers? haha.

I've thought about side exhausts and wondered what they (it?) would look like. Congrats on taking the plunge, I'm not so sure I like it though. Has it grown on you since you first did it, or have you liked it from the start?

Pretty cool idea actually! :p Someone else with an original thought. :woohoo: Also, thank you for taking a bullet for me from the brain-dead critics of my $66 exhaust mod (now discontinued) and the 6 exhaust tip mod (which will soon be licensed worldwide, thus creating not only an already incredibly studly penguin, but a filthy rich bird also). So ppppppffffffffftttttt :nah:

[QUOTE=Mav;91196]You know you have two spoilers? haha.

Well i'm saving up for the third one, lol. Actually when we were fitting the new wing the trunk lid kind of bare to me so we notched the orignal around it to see what it looked like. Looks better to me plus i hadn't seen it done and i didn't have to fill the holes in the trunk.
Yes i like it a lot, left them sticking out 1'' for now so i have options with trim or flush mount, and i have no drone on a loud car which was really the original goal.
We have a CNC mill and access to carbon fiber so i have lots of ideas for trim pieces, maybe billet piece with CF G8 logo between pipes? any other ideas?

It's not something I would do. Maybe if you went flush and added a trim ring it would be a little more appealing.

Thanks for the feedback, yes it's my car and i like it, i like to be a little outside the box on all of my cars that way you never have to pull up along side one just like yours. Thats why we fix up our cars isn't it to go faster and in most cases, mine anyway, to be a little different. I'll post pics when i get the diffuser painted and carbon fiber on it. Good thing i didn't go with the zoomies through the hood idea huh?

Being old, (41) I was picturing the exhaust exiting in front of the rear tires and was wondering if you had triple pipes like the Aussie V-8 Supercars.

It doesn't look bad, but I do love the wheels! Nice car.

Thanks, didn't want pipes to hang down that far or notch the subframe. Cut outs may yet come out behind the front wheels, ordered them today. And were not old, maybe just old school, this is my first LS powered car. All big blocks up to now.
Afraid i don't know what those Aussie pipes look like.

I'd post a pic but I don't have an account anywhere. But they are essentially three rectangular openings that peek through a cutout in the lower, rear rocker skirt. I think it's that same on both sides, and I don't know why it's three instead of two.

This is my first LS as well, but I've only had carbed small block Chevy's up 'til now. I noticed your affinity for Rat motors in your sig. Very nice!

Oh man that's sick! I love it A+ for originality. How about a sound clip? What mufflers did you go with. You got the first no drone car, other than the Corsa.

I could not have said it better. People cringe at some of the stupid stuff I have done to my new car in the name of originality.

While not a big fan of the side exit, I applaud your sense of style and courage to try something different.

Thanks, don't know how to do sound clip, it's basically straight pipes but deeper.
The mufflers are actually small resonators off a Magnum wagon Flowmaster kit i had laying around. The are approx 3 1/2 by 6'' by 12''long, they are not on their website and have no PN on them, you can see them in the blurry pics i took. I assume there is no drone because the pipes are further apart than stock plus they are behind the tire so its quiet in the car until you get on it.

I like it. Fab up something unique with the diffuser and ittl look like a completely different car.

Though I cant help but think... Wont that melt the plastic bumper cover?

Hasn't so far, went 20 miles highway yesterday, keeping an eye on it though. Diffuser is being painted as we speak (type!?) then gonna put some carbon fiber pieces on it. I'll post pics.

NDM. I'm in Monmouth, probably a little more than 2hrs from you south of Quad cities, PM if you want.

Just some ideas, just needs a little cleaning up on the sides. Gotta have big balls to put holes in your rear quarters. You did it and it works.

Me too. I wouldn't do it because I'm too conservative. However, this is what customizing is all about.

Thanks guys, put headers, cats and cut outs on over the weekend, lots of work but came out pretty good i think. Also diffusser is painted and trimmed, i'll post pics in next couple of days. Cars loud with open headers, (duh!) gonna sound cool when i get the cam.
I've seen that stylin concept setup, it looks good but i didn't go with it because... well... it's an off the shelf part plus my labor doesn't cost me anything.
