View Full Version : The Beastmaster on the Dyno!

So, I went to a dyno day over at Turbo Technologies Inc. in Tacoma, WA on Saturday and put the beast on the dyno to get some Cam numbers.

Sadly, i was running with a basic tune and had some disappointing, but entertaining results!

In the first video, the guy video taping my run got SPRAYED hard with solid gas. He said it got in his mouth and all over his clothes. You can see it flying everywhere. He was also startled by how loud it was so thats why the camera jumped. I thought it was funny! First run was in 3rd gear, 371hp/356tq

Second run was in 4th and yielded 387hp/365tq.

So, after this disappointment and knowing that my tune was off, i went and got it custom tuned by someone "local" and we were able to add another 13 or so degrees of timing. I was running SUPER rich.

Now, after the tune, the car pulls SOOOO much harder! I should be getting it on the dyno sometime this week for new results. I will update this thread (and my sig) when i get the new numbers. I'm expecting quite a bit more horsepower considering the amount of timing we put into it!

my fav part of the 2nd video is when the 1 guy scrambles for the ear protection lol i saw panic of him loosing his hearing lol

hah, it was a dyno day...the prices were very cheap and there were a lot of awesome cars there.

trust me, i dont plan on having TTi do any actual work on my car anytime soon...they seem to only care about corvettes.

Ellis at Speed Secrets out in Monroe, WA road tuned it, then when we get a chance, we will do a bit of dyno tuning too.

nope! i was running piss ass rich, so the plugs couldnt burn off all the fuel going through the engine, so it came out the exhaust! explains why my mileage was suffering so bad.

I have gotten that fixed though
