Question on rear aux

I know that the rear aux turns off video above 2.5MPH and the only way to fix this is with the JHP VIM. Does the sound also shut off. I just want to run sound off the rear Aux. Is the only option the VIM from JHP.

I believe the sound stays on, I've got my ipod plugged in there now but I haven't actually used it LOL

Yes the sound stays on, only the video cuts out.

When the video cuts out, does the screen just go blank? Or do the HVAC controls come back up?

When i'm in Rear aux mode the audio continues to come through, moving or stopped. With my back-up camera the screen goes blank if i'm stopped but not in revearse( I power the camera from the back-up lights).

It's just a blank screen unless you adjust something on the hvac. Then the hvac screen appears for a few seconds, then reverts to a blank screen. The audio still comes through.
