I'll introduce myself :)

2009 G8 GT - Magnetic Gray Metallic (Bought 5/8/2009)
No Mod as of yet, but planning on Intake/Exhaust/Tune sometime soon.

I saw 3 G8's in one day on the road, that is a new record for me.

MGM in Blaine on the side roads next to 65 & the Sports Complex. Red with 20" Chrome wheels at the dealership, while I was there getting my recall done. Black with aftermarket wheels on 35W S in Arden Hills. This was all on Monday.

I haven't had time to dyno again, hopefully I will within the next few weeks.

Those numbers were before the headers, tune, ported intake. So, if I were to guess, I'd probably say around 360-370whp, but not really sure. :).

Lately i have seen a number of G8s in the Lakeville area. One Red, a blue one, 2 MGM one of which is a 6 cyl and the other was a GT. Anyone on here from the lakeville area? I have seen them all in the I35 cty rd 50 area. I saw the Red one just yesterday!

Yeah, same here. I would've thought with a softer compound they would grip a little better in the dry. I had my potenzas' on up until last sat and they were where getting pretty slick before the snow with the colder temps. Even when it only got down to 40 or so, and a little moisture, forget about it. I had to go to Luther in Brookdale. Valley didn't get any GXP's...guess they didn't sell enough G8's in 2008. I tried Walser in Bloomington, but they only had one and it was an A6, and someone had a deposit down on it. Luther wasn't my first choice for a dealership since they are so far away, but they wouldn't do a dealer trade. I've only gone back there twice...once for the tranny oil leak that made a mess of my garage, and the other for the 1st oil change, since it was free. No complaints about them, just too far.

Yeah Valley only ever got 1 GXP. If you are looking for a place to service they do a great job. I would recommend them!


BTW- I saw a black GT with aftermarket exhaust north of the mall of america today. Had Wisc plates, sounded real nice!

Just had my G8 retuned.... First tune was from VMS( Vector) and just had it re-done by CJTunes ( Carl Thomas) in St. Paul. HIGHLY recommend. Car drives a lot better and has more power also. Some of us from here and the "other" board wanted a decal to put on our back side window (the little one) to separate our cars from other G8's. Here is the design we chose...

So when it gets stuck on the window its ONLY the White car and font. The rest is just the backing of the old vinyl that got torn off.

You will love the 3.45 gears. Car feels a lot lighter. Who did/does your tuning?

I programed with cortex tuner found in advanced setting that 5mph over stock shift
kept me from bouncing off rev limit. @ 6000 will play more when I put 10" vette wheels back on

Lots more exotics this time, and domestics were all way down in the new lower lot....guess we're 2nd class. :screwy:

So with all this talk about storing and covering the G8's out there it explains why I haven't seen many either, until Yesterday 35W S @4:30ish in Burnsville I found myself rolling in a pack of 3 GT's. Wonderful seeing whoever you two were out there with me braving the ice and all.

Spotted: MSM G8 GT on I35 southbound in Lakeville. Exited onto County Rd 46 headed East - about 6:45pm Wednesday, Feb 6th.

The hood & right front fender were black & front bumper cover was missing.

Hope it wasn't a body shop employee taking the car for a joyride cause that's the way he was driving. :confused:

First let me say that I worked with a company on these and found that Direct To Garment to be the best deal for us. I would of liked it to be screen printed but the cost was more and I didn't know how many shirts to order. The shirts look fine still and come in 6 colors. I know the price may seem a bit high, I to noticed this and shopped around, I found that this place was the most competitive and shipping was included. Price per shirt is $22.50, if you buy 3 (Three) you get a $10 discount. Again thats shipping included, I will say that the shipping to my house was $6.15 so that was an actual price of $16.35 per shirt... Not a bad deal. As you can see I purchased 3 and plan on purchasing another 2 for myself and 1 for the wife.

The website that I partnered with on the shirts sells some offensive type shirts, since I don't know if anyone would be offended I will paste the direct link to the G8 shirts. Sorry..just saw this. She is done with the really nasty chemo and is on to 3 months of kinda nasty chemo. She goes for the 2nd of 12 weekly treatments on Monday. Overall she is doing better than before the holidays -- less fatigue. We should do another MN gathering. BWW worked well for us but we could travel a bit so others can join...

The guys we had been using for this sort of thing screwed over my brother pretty badly (pretty much took his money and ran), so I'm looking for somewhere new and trustworthy. Any recommendations?

Lancer Auto in ST. Paul. Talk to Carl the owner, great guy and is very familiar with G8s.
