So, statistically, doctors are approximately 9,000 times more dangerous than gun owners.

What it doesn't list is that most accidental gun deaths were preventable. They didn't need to happen.

Now sure, a doctors mistake is in some form or another preventable as well, but it was a necessary risk!

The people who undergo operations are CHOOSING to take the risk. Those people know full well the risks of operations. I'm sure if they didn't take that risk they would've died anyway. Of course not everyone who died by a doctor was terminal and that there are some legitimate dumb doctors.

But gun ownership isn't necessary. We don't live in Iraq. Having a gun is an unecessary risk.

Don't take me for some gun hater. I just don't enjoy reading something so obviously pro-gun without fairly portraying the other side. These dumb stats mean nothing.

We are one of the most crime ridden country in this world.

Having a car is not necessary and how many people die in accidental car crashes when it was totally preventable by not being in a car.

You need to read why we have the right to bear arms. Most people in this country think about it the wrong way.

True. Although, what I'm asking is why do people want guns? "For protection" I'd say is the most common response. Protection from what? A criminal with a gun? What if he and you had no guns? It wouldn't make you safer maybe, but accidental gun fire deaths are certainly elminated.

True, but most criminals don't use registered firearms...

I know you are not anti-gun so this does not pertain to you, but people need to realize that we need to get very strict on catching people buying, carrying, or selling non-registered firearms. Not restricting people that buy them legally.
