Hey Mike; the wheels look great just make sure they aren't made in China, the quality control there concerns me some (which may be unfounded).

You're gettin' serious with the ET radials, so are you going for low 12s or high 11s?

The 54 offset should work. The 17x9.5 with 56 offset didn't quite
fit on my car.

I just found this site. There are OEM wheels here.

Jeff:

Thanks for the reminder about China. Yea, going to the track is not as much fun as it could be, when my car spins for the 1st 90 feet......

Yes, hopefully going for low 12's. Reggie hit an 11.98 & Robert hit a 12.0 with similar set ups.... :)

Roy:

I'm thinkin' the 54 offset should work. Also, thanks for the OEM wheel web site.

Good luck at the track tonight, you've gotta be lovin' your car. Let us know how you do.... :)

54 will still be close depending on the tire. if it rubs it shouldn't for long. 2mm will only move it another .08".

Jesse:

I was planning on going to Stanton, MI this Friday 5/22/09 - 5pm to 10pm

I'll PM you my cell phone number, it would be cool if you can make it. You probably could hit a high 11 time slip too! :)

These should work ????

Replica Wheel ZR1 Replica
17X9.5 5-120.65 38S

http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/findWheelDetail.do?bp=5-120.65*5-4.75*5-120.6&tc=REPZR1&c=4&rcz=48188&yr=1998&pc=23133&wd=17&rw=9.5&vid=013159&rc=MIDINT

The rims that had a 56 offset didn't fit. But I believe these should. 18mm less moves the rim out almost an inch.

Here are the pics of my new wheels. I wanted Silver, but they sent chrome. I took 'em anyway.
$105 a piece.

What tire are you going to use?

-Ray-

I haven't quite figured that out yet. I'm leaning toward to the MT drag radials though. Somehow, I keep thinking of the 28" tire that Mike from New Era uses though.

MT 3743R is one

Those wheels are awesome! Sorry, I didn't see where you said these would fit a month ago. Sometimes a post or 2 will slip through my hands/eyes.

So these are the 38mm offset ones?

Where did you buy them for $105 a wheel?

Nice job Ray!

No Mike.
These are the 54 offset wheels. I got them from Discount Tire. One of the guys from the Indy GTO forum gave me a killer discount. Guess I need to talk to him about tires too! :)

I think you put the wrong address down Mike. I looked out my door a few minutes ago and found these:

What lugs are you going to use ?? The stock lugs are too big.

For me, also wheels from Discount, I just ordered their lug kit with the wheels. Cost me $45.

-Ray-

I'm going to have to go by the shop. I can't break the lug nuts loose.
