Is it just me or has there been an all out attack by the police on motorist?

I've seen more police everywhere. Cops gone crazy with their little radar guns. Motorcycle cops where I haven't seen them for YEARS.

Times must be tough on the State budget and they need to write a whole bunch of tickets.

You need to be carefule driving 465 around indy! NW side and 865 are speed-freaking-traps!

It's total madness. I live in Nowhereville.

I've seen more people pulled over and had the police trying to bushwack me (Thank you V1) the last 2 weeks than I can ever recall.

I know this post is old, but it still seems to be police crazy up here in NW Indiana. I don't know if its just a spring thing or what but there are cops gunning everywhere on my 20 mile commute to work.

There was a commercial say that if you are only 5mph over the police are going to pull you over.

I have find it difficult driving under 60 mph. These cars make it too easy to speed.

I usually do 65 on the loop. That's 10 over, almost everyone is doing that.

I find it too easy to speed on the loop as well.

It defeats the purpose of having the loop at 55mph if you can cut through town at 55mph on the Interstates. Time of day dictates which one to take.

We've had over 11 inches of rain since March 1st. More coming again tonight.
It's like the El Nino of 91-92.

Thundering and raining here now.

While going out to dinner with the wife I saw ISP pull over another while in the construction zone near me. Double pay day for the state. They patrol it constantly during the daytime to get the easy bucks.

If you're on 465 watch out for the unmarked Mustang GTs. I saw at least four of them last weekend that had people pulled over. They are all different colors too such as burgundy, light blue, black, etc. I haven't seen two of the same colors yet. Just be wary if you see one. My radar detector kept beeping and I couldn't spot the cop until I realized I was passing a Mustang GT on the other side.

Those unmarked Mustangs are sneaky. I think I've seen one with stripes as well.

I might have to dig through my pics to see if I can find one driven by an ISP Trooper that attended my brother's wedding. The lights are hidden extremely well.

Heh, I rolled up on one of Lake County's Drug Interdiction units unknowingly last fall on I-65. He had 5% tint on the rear and I couldn't spot his lane stick or rear lightbar until I was within a half a dozen car lengths or so and caught a glimmer of something that didn't belong. Was a blacked out charger. He wasn't runnin' radar though; and most of the ISP guys around me are cool as hell and give a rat's ass unless you're 20+ over.

Did get a ticket in the winter for 7 over. I've got it hanging up somewhere. She isn't in the area any longer; pissed off all the judges with her bullshit (changing court dates without letting the defendant know etc.).

Quite a few of our guys have unmarked durangos now; and one of the sergeants is rollin' a marked up charger. Car looks good; but it's slow as dog shit. Same with the durangos. They're mighty comfy though; front seats at least.

The Durangos are good for surprising the heck out of people as well. A small town south of me has one that patrols US 50.

So many different vehicles to look out for in Indiana.

Sorry,

I'm putting up a fence tonight. You said you knew a guy at ORP? Could he get us a section to park for Pinks All Out?

Part of the reason they are writing more tickets is due to tax dollors being down so much down here in Florida. The counties have lost a ton of revenue. This is an easy weay for them to make up some money.

I went out on Monday afternoon on the US20 Bypass and seen a police car at just about every opening in the median!
