Had a lil run in with a brand new challenger this evening..kinda provoked when he crossed three lanes to ride up my ass. there was really no open spaces on the freeway to air out the cars. tons of traffic! We did manage to pull on each other a couple of times. I was just wondering what those are running stock and if it was even worth it to toy with one in th e near future. I could make out that it was brand new black challenger with RT pin striped across the hood. nice looking car. My 09 G8GT mods ..Vararam intake, corsa cat back. Can our cars hang with the challenger?

If it doesnt say SRT-8 its G8 food. For some of us those are food too. :devil:

Last time I went to the strip my G8 had a couple of Mustang appetizers and an STR8 for the main course. Then for dessert a very nice stingray corvette with chocolate sprinkles. I told her she was going to go on a diet if she kept this up!

I had a whole second on a Super Bee Charger tonight and I was hooking and running .3 tenths off my norm...What lead sleds! Lol!

Shouldn't a lightly modded G8 hang with or beat a Challenger SRT-8??

That really depends on the driver of the SRT-8. I have personally seen a stock SRT-8 Challenger run 12.70s. This guy could drive. The driver mod is what holds back a lot of G8s. Once people learn how to drive them and launch them we will see many in the 12s and a few more in the 11s.

Not sure what "lightly modded" is exactly. But with my mods I left a new Challenger SRT-8 owner felling rather bad, both from a 50 MPH roll and from a dig.

WHat about a stock G8 vs a charger RT with intake and exhaust? I work with a guy that is ALWAYS talking about his car and id love do shut him up with my stock car.

You should either edge him out or be very close. He definitely will not blow your doors off. You've got a ~250-300LBs weight advantage.

I'm gonna have to get a few mods so I can take that SRT8 Charger. There are 2 in my neighborhood that I always eye up.
