First off, my street racing days are many years behind me. I gave it up the day I got a ticket for doing "Warp Speed" (Could someone please show me this statute?). However, one of the things that irks me is certain drivers that think they should get their own lane because of the amount of money they spent on their German cars.
I was cruising my GXP in my usual "Peter Parker" style, when a new BMW 750Li pulled up on my left at a stop sign. My "Spidey Sense" told me this guy wanted to cut me off so he could make a right hand turn 20 ft ahead of schedule. He launched off the line, so I countered. I had him by a full car length at 45MPH, when we caught up to traffic. He made this "WTF" face in my rearview mirror. I'm not sure if it was because he didn't think my G8 was capable, or because I had the audacity to make him play nice. He made his turn with the dignity he had remaining and drove off a bit less aggressively.
I later found out this guy lives down the street from me. Maybe I'll get him to the track soon so we can settle this like gentlemen. Besides, I'd like to see what his twin turbo can do.
