new g8 gt owner

hey guys, i just got my new 2009 g8 gt in black, with sunroof, sport and premium. i went from a 2007 dodge ram and o my god i cant seem to not go 130 on the way to work(35 miles all highway) haha

i already took off the engine cover and added a k&n airfilter, i was wondering how this is compared to a new cai?(pic below)

i also had a question about the different modes, is it ok to always leave it in sport mode or should i only put it there when i wanna go fast? and is it ok to switch from normal to sport at high speed? and also to manual? last thing since im not used to manual shifting i put it in first and took off and didnt shift, once i noticed the rpms were really high and i put it in normal, did i mess anything up?

Welcome! It is OK to switch modes on the fly. I would look into a CAI kit to help isolate the underhood temps from being drawn into the filter. You want to get a HSRK as well.

We live right by Vector Motorsports, if you dont know anything about them search for it, they get nothing but awesome reviews. They got a tune and CAI special for like $650.
