View Full Version : This is a neat trick for the track

Last Saturday at the track a guy in the staging lane next to me had a Charger RT. In one of the black electronic boxes under the hood he had a 3 inch jumper cable made out of 10-12 guage wire with a shielded female shovel connector on both ends. After a run he would "jump" two male shovel terminals and his radiator fan would run continously rather than shutting down at its normal temperature shutoff. He cooled down much faster than I did. Still beat him handily though.

Can we do that?

Buy a DashHawk and you can turn them on a bit more "professionally"

In my Bonneville, I put in a switch that would ground a certain relay and turn the high speed fans on. Handy in the summer.

I don't know if that's possible with G8's or not.

but dont you have to have the igntion on to use the dashwak? I have a toggle switch on my TBSS so that the ignition could be off and still run the fans...
