Out here in the northwest we only have 92 octane, I just ordered the VMS ECM/TCM tune with the powerflash cable, will the tune from my files be specific for my fuel, or is it based off either 91 or 93 octane? If its based off 91 or 93, which would be the better route to go? additives to 92? thanks

91 would be better as additives are not good IMO.

I have run 92 with my 93 VMS tune on numerous occasions! It'll pull a bit of timing and reduce power slightly but I have had ZERO issues with it.

Have you did the 91 tune with the 92 octane. Shouldnt be a big difference, just wanting to optimize my tune!

There so close I don't think you'd feel or see any difference.

Get the 91 just to stay on the safer side. Stay away from additives.

I agree on the 91 tune. There some folks in the region have spark knock from lower octane gas. Don't be one of those guys. LOL Get the 91.

There's always the factor of getting a bad tank of gas, which will really cause some spark/KR/timing issues.

Its based off 91 or 93. with that I'd run the 91 oct. tune:)
