Mike and Roy put on a GRRRR8 event today and yes we have a lot of G8s in Texas. We needed a Sport red Metallic and that burgandy color to have every color.

Thanks ICON for the food, drinks, and most of all the hospitality. This is a serious gearhead toy shop with a great knowledge base on LS based performance. Related to G8's the ICON "shop tuned " G8 had impressive pulls in the 375/379 HP range with CAI, Kooks headers and exhaust, underdrive pulley and ported intake/TB.

The weather cooperated and when the dyno sessions were completed there weren't any extra pieces laying around nor puddles of oil.

It was nice to see the very nice G8 GT's in various colors (and one lonely Liquid Red GXP) and meet all of the proud and enthusiastic owners.

I look forward to the next get together!:woohoo:

I want to chime and say thanks for the food, drinks, etc. It was a blast.

There were 14 G8s there that were dynoed. Nice turnout.

I showed up after all the G8 boys left. For a minute I thought I was at the wrong place. All I saw were camaros/firebirds/vettes.

I want to thank Roy and Mike for having the event. I am still shocked to hear that their lightly modded G8GT put down such good numbers.

387 hp
382 tq

mods are: vararam and livernois tune (but the tune was for the stock airbox)

A bone stock Z06 put down 453 hp, I didn't notice the torque number.

Ditto! thanks ICON.
I think the last count of G8's was around 19? 20 with the late show?

Roy, thanks for the hospitality.

We also need a Stealth Blue to show up (the only color I have not seen in person.).
