Here is the timeslip:

Now for those that don't know, here is the list of mods done to my G8GT:

-New Era OTR intake
-160 tstat
-Powerbond underdrive crank pulley
-New Era ported throttle body and intake manifold
-New Era High Lift DOD cam package with Yella Terra rockers
-Heads are milled .020 and had a performance valve job using a cometic .040--Head gasket (.013 thinner than stock)
-American Racing 1 7/8 headers with cats
-New Era straight pipes replacing mufflers (track only, my wife drives around on the stock mufflers)
-Precision 3200 rpm single disc custom converter
-NGK TR6 spark plugs
-Drag radials (track only, the wheels weigh the same as stock), stock front rims and tires
-New Era custom tuning
-100% stock suspension believe it or not, and full weight, nothing was taken out

I think it has a little more in it, but I brought my son with me today, and I told him we can go home as soon as I run an 11 second time, and that's what I did after a few passes getting used to everything again. If the moderators can put me in that timeslip database that would be great, thanks!

Congrats......I went to the track today. I ran 115 mph but I didn't run an 11. I had no traction at all. I was still spinning at the 1/8 mile marker. I'm not going back to the track
until I get some drag radials. Its useless !!!!!

Anyway Congrats again.

I ran 4 times. MPH were 113, 114 twice, and 115. My times were 12.90 to 13.60. All I can do is shake my head.

There was a cammed G8 at the track today that went 11s. But you'll have to wait for him to post.

Reggie must have hit the 11's with his MT ET Street Radials. Huh? That is awesome....

Just an FYI for everyone also, my G8 makes 400 rwhp even on my dynojet dyno(unlocked converter), there was a guy there with a D/A calculator and the D/A was 1500 ft above sea level, and the wind was going against me.

+1 Yea, what are your RPMs at when you launch.....

Also, what tires are you using on the back?

Thanks! & Nice runs! :)

Very impressive Mike! It shows how much the driver and tires will help. Even though there are now quite a few non DOD with more power, you're setting the bar high.

Mikes running M+H 275/50/17 drag radials. I just asked mike about his launch and he said "I just flash the converter on the launch, it flashes about 3200-3400ish."

When does school start on getting traction & good launches?

Shift points are around 6300 rpms. Tuning is one of the biggest things here, I actually ran this with TM on, I am pretty sure I could have shaved off another tenth turning it off so it will accelerate through the shift. If you do what I am doing, use the parts that I am using, have the same tuning, or at least similair from another reputable G8 tuner, it is not that hard. I just get in the car, drive through the staging lanes, do a burn out til I see a little smoke coming out, flash the converter off the line and hold the pedal down, it is pretty easy, honestly not really any tricks to it I guess. If you know your car it makes it a little easier off the line I guess, I had one of my guys racing it for me last year in Memphis and I also let him race it in an event at our local track here before we went to Memphis, he always ran about 1 tenth and 1 mph slower than I did, and he weighs 20 lbs less than me, sometimes just knowing your car and being the one behind the wheel more helps a bit too.

Paul:

I gotta feeling, that tires is all you'll need to hit the 11's. You'll be there very soon.

Mike proves a good point. I had the same kid hes talking about drive mine once on Saturday, and he did the exact same thing. One tenth slower but same mph. I was hoping hed get me a 12 lol.

Nice runs Mike, makes me want a cam and headers lol.
