Damn Chris! So it's the Supercharged G8 GXP right? Better crank numbers than a ZR-1...... Shit dude...... Nice!

ZR-1 638 at the crank, I am guessing Chris is around 600ish.

I'm roughly 625ish at the crank (assuming ~12% driveline loss). If I hadnt run out of fuel I probably would have dynoed in the 570 range where stock ZR1's are. The mega fuel pump pic I posted was of a prototype just waiting on some info ect. Now where is Rick with the badass video? LOL

I will video it for sure.

They are not allowing tuning, but I will have a wideband run done so I can get some more tweaking done. I haent even messed with timing yet. It has 0 knock retard and LTFTs are -2% or less now across the board. The idle is good. Once its real close, I am sending a file to Kirk so he can review it.

WHOOO HOOO! Man, that is some serious oomph. Whatcha figure they stock pistons can handle?

More than I need for my G8 (although as it gets stronger it does make me think about some larger turbos on the GTO!). Keep pushing it and let us get the vicarious thrills!

What's going on with the spikes in the powerband? Can't really tell from the vid how big/numerous they are.

Those are really impressive numbers considering they were through the stock exhaust. Aren't the Magnacharged L76s dynoing in the mid-high 400s? Is the difference primarily due to the LS3 cam?

Is this on the stock exhaust and no long tubes or shorty headers???

Rick, I've been talking with you about my g8 gt...

If that is true, would it be possible to get similar numbers on a gt with the stage 1 cam, rotofab, maggie 1900, and corsa catback, and bap w/o me having to go the mid length header route so I can leave the cats factory???

I was looking to hit 500+rwhp if I could do this w/o replacing the headers/cats that'd be the route I'd go...

sounds like its feasible based on this thread...

[QUOTE]

Although we don't recommend it, we've made 651 RWHP on a stock shortblock LS2 in an automtic trans C6 Vette and told the customer up front, it wasn't a matter of it would break, rather when it would break and he was good with that and said if it broke he would build it.

Well, it has 30,000 hard miles since then with several hard street miles and 10-second track passes with no issues (other than breaking a stock trans).

We see 420-425 RWHP with stock exhaust on a GT and 435-440 RWHP with a catback on a GT.

Well damn. Now I'm really curious why there is the large spread between a FI L76 and LS3. Are the GTs figures with a 1900 and this a 2300?

Chris's GXP is a 1900 Magnacharger as well, unless he gets carried away with boost there is no need for the upgrade.

He didn't really answer the question you asked. ;)

The L76 and the LS3 have the same heads, intake and throttle body.

The LS3 gets sodium intake valves, the L76 has solid valves.

The LS3 has 12 more cubic inches than the L76.

So the answer is YES, it is primarily the cam and lack of AFM.

dod is the whole problem weak excuse for a cam and the junk dod parts that accompany it.

I"m 90% sure the dod delete/stage 1 cam kit+ maggie will produce similar numbers maybe a little less due to the displacement difference, but it should be close as the stage 1 is a bigger cam and I'd also do the valve job while I'm at it.

I know everyone preaches headers, but it looks like everyone is running out of fuel before they are running out of exhaust flow...

granted it'd make even more power with a set of lt's or of mid length...

I still do not see an answer for the fueling concerns. Is there a solution yet? Or is it gonna be a one off fuel pump contraption. I was wondering what an L76 will make with small DOD delete cam with 8psi and hi-flo exhaust front to rear?

Chris installed the blower himself and has some ideas for the fuel pump. We have a GT in the shop now getting a package similar to what Tempest2000 mentioned above, and we have some ideas for the fuel system, but until we finish the car and get it on the dyno we won't know for sure.

We had a Supercharged 99 Dodge with a returnless system that needed more pump. We looped an inline pump that ran off a boost pressue switch and regulated by an FMU. Why wouldn't this work on the G8? This would keep you out of the tank that isn't the easiest to drop considering what you have to remove to get it out....

Unless someone has figured out these cars have less of a drivetrain loss, I would figure flywheel numbers using 15%. This has always been the general rule of thumb for manual cars. I'd say your closer to 650hp.
