I miss that truck. I really miss the black Sonoma. It would have a LS in it by now and be tubbed out if I had kept it.

Here's my old one...and the white truck was a buddy's and he eventually got it down to 12.3 and was the fastest NA 5.3 in the country for a long while...

Fun at HRP on 9/11... (http://video.performancetrucks.net/player.aspx?fileid=6027A566-DA47-4D5E-B15D-5B7A20CCDBCD)

There wasnt much available in 00 for real power due to the TQ management. Once I got that taken care of it flew for a stock motor.

Yeah TQ Nanny is a bitch...I remember on the TBSS that my wife has you had to pull the Stabilicrap fuse to get passed it even if you had the Traction control and Stabilitrac turned off...

By the way after 3 years we finally got the thing fully tuned last week and it woke up alot. My old tuner said that there was over 100 updates since we first tuned it in '06...Said he don't know why they're so fast but they tend to kill a stock GTO...

Did that truck used to sit across from the Beechnut sub station?

It really is. That 65 Shelby that was there for awhile was a HUGE project. I put the entire Total Contol suspension and rack and pinion steering in it. It was a SVO block with 358 cubic inches, Tremec TKO 5 spd. It was a replica as I would not have gone that far on a real one. It was a beast! The 97 SS Camaro that was tricked out was my dads. He retired right before I moved back from Georgia. He lives down the street from me and the shop so I see him a lot now. He trips out on my car and the sounds that come out of it. I think he will have me build him a new Camaro as soon as they get off the 11k over sticker! And they wonder why they are struggling.
