Does HOB have a person representative on this sight? I've tried calling a few times to talk with Eric but can't seem to get him.

Kind of pointless to have the fastest to date G8 TT setup and not push toward a production of anything. Sounds blowhard-ish to me.

Sounds like a waste of advertisment to me. Fastest to date TT setup with no intentions for production???

Ok so I went back and looked at my e-mail from them and it says... "the customer is enjoying the car and we never had the intent to make this a production unit but we do sell the APS Twin turbo sytem or the Maggy systems and both should be considered"

but he also says "The turbo worked well on the car, and then kinda turned into making a full kit from there, however due to the car being so much fun and being gone so much we have never been able to finish it"

Well I've talked to em before about it, and they said that that particular kit wouldn't work for me anyway. Just trying to get in touch with em

KT, why wouldn't it work for your car? They do twin turbos on the 427 vettes.

A custom system would, but the stock manifolds are insufficient to efficiently flow the air necessary for my cubic inches, and seeing as how their system utilizes the factory manifolds...

easily solved with a little modification to your Kooks... but again they dont have a kit for the G8 so custom it is...

I have been over there several times for tuning. Erik said that the kit ended up being too expensive and it was a lot of work. He also mentioned that there just aren't very many G8's out there....

probably true... those turbos alone must be big money!

The installed price is around $10K if what I was told holds true. After looking at it, I'd still much rather have one of these than the APS kit

Considering the number of FI, H/C, Cammed G8s that are already out there, I would maybe reconsider that statement. The people that DO have G8s, are spending some pretty big dollars on go fast/handling goodies. Look at Charlie's recent surge in business, the opportunity for them is there. :hang:

Just passing on what he directly told me... they seem to always be messing with custom sand buggies that make around 900-1000 rwhp... Must be some money there...

They were using Aerocharger turbo's and they are not designed to work with the application, they are very expensive and production variations caused a issue with even getting a kit out. Aerocharger initially made the kit and then contacted HOB to do some finish work, that relationship then fell thru. Maybe someone can convince Parish to make more of his kits lol (unlikely) but worth a shot. The key to these turbo kits is using a quality turbo.
