Well, stock tires have 20k on em, but still have some life left in em.
I'm looking at getting some gunmetal Breyton GTS wheels but need some help. I want to keep as close to the ride comfort that is with the stock 18" wheels. I also would prefer not to lower the vehicle -- it's a DD and I'm already leery of speedbumps, driveways and parking stops.
1) 19 or 20"?
2) Wheel width/offset -- A little bit of healthy poke in the back is fine
3) Will probably do a staggered set-up, 275's are max in the back -- right? If so, what size in the fronts?
4) Anyone recommend a longish lasting performance tire on a budget? Minimal wet, and no snow or ice traction needed.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Are you lowering the car? 19's will be fine, whereas the 20's ride a little harsher. A 245 stock size on the front is ideal on a 8.5 w 35mm offset. The rears can also be 35mm on a 9.5 but some people have had scrubbing issues, myself included when the vehicle is heavily laden. However I have 285's and that is where most of the scrubbing took place. Where are you located? If you are local you can grab the keys to mine and drive it to see for yourself.
As you can see from these pics, my rears (w the 35mm offset) do not extend beyond the quarter panels

I prefer the ride and handling of my stock 19's over the 17's I had for winter. Two completely different tires on the rims, but it should give you a little insight.

245's on 8.5" rims in the front, 35mm offset
265 on what width rim in the rear, which offset -- for no rub?
Is there anyway for 265's on all 4 corners? I'm not dead-set on a staggered set-up.
Like I said in the original post, I'd rather not lower the vehicle -- so whatever fills the wheel wells the best is a high priority. I am leaning towards 19's.

If you only want a 265, use the 8.5 35mm offset

I might do that. The benefit of the 275 rear/265 fronts and no rotating does not beat out 265's all around and being able to rotate for me. I can't imagine 275's make that much of a difference in looks or performance.

I've never worried about the rotating aspect honestly. I'd rather buy a pair at a time vs four. Not to mention its hard to see uneven tire wear if they get shifted around the car. Plus the 265 front doesn't benefit much either. It merely increases the rolling resistance of the car. Whichever way you go though, I wish you luck and hope you get the look you want. Oh, one more thing though. IF you decided on a 9.5 then you can run a 285, and between some tires of different makes, thats pretty close to a full inch of rubber on the road when compared to a 265
