Hey Paul,

I need something that Pedders doesn't have in stock and won't till the middle of May. I need this https://secure.merlinsoftware.com.au/peddersusa/Default.aspx?ProdCode=EP6560&Level1=PONTIAC&Level2=G8

It's freaky small and totally ship able via DHL or UPS or Fedex but they ship all theirs via slow boat and it all has to go through customs yada yada...

Let me know! I need it here no later than April 30th for an install on the 1st and 2nd of May.

Cheers,
Chris

OK I'll check it out at first light.
If Pedders here have none I'll offer up an equal or better substitute as well.

OK But the Pedders dealer is doing the work so I need to make sure it's close to the same... I suppose if it's less $$ it's all good too!

Thanks Paul.

Yeah we'll shoot for the EP6560 first. They'll moan and probably not give warranty unless all the bits fitted are their shit.

I'll let you know ASAP what the story is. 8 Hrs from now.

OK the Pedders Store about 20min from here has an EP6560 in stock at a nice price.
I've got them to put my name on it and put it aside for me.
I'll have it in my hands by noon Friday (my time). 2.5 Hrs from now.

Will swing by a freight place or two and get prices to get it to you by 30th April.

Regards
Crazy Paul

OK I've got the parts.
US $205 delivered by DHL (3 to 4 days service).

Paypal me with your shipping address and its done.

[It's 12:30 Fri afternoon here now.....I've got till 5pm to ship them today or between 9am and noon Saturday (my time)]

Aussie Post Airfreight may or may not have got there in time and would only have saved you about US$20.

Paul's the bomb! Now I can have these installed at the same time as the OE height touring kit.

Funny that I bought them from him and am having them shipped via super fast DHL for only 5 bucks more than if I bought them here. If I would have gone post I would have saved 15 bucks over buying them here... lol I needed them by April 30th so post was a crap shoot.

Thanks again Paul!

I've taken your parts to the DHL place here (Saturday morning 11am), they'll be booked in etc and then I can e-mail you the tracking number soon.
They actually sit here in a suburb of Perth until collected by the DHL van at 4pm on Monday afternoon my time.

So 3AM Monday morning (your time in IA) is when they actually start moving by DHL.
It will be interesting to see how long it takes until you receive them there.

(It's 10,700 miles by air from Perth to Des Moines, IA.)

Chris, when you get that package, check the washers. It looks like they might be drilled on center. The ones that came with my kit were the same way.

The washers need to be drilled offcenter to add caster. Pedders messed up some of the packaging.

They need to look like this:

:woohoo:

Yeah they suck... My fiance and two dogs were home. They bark at ANYTHING that comes and makes noise so not sure what the person did. Probably stood at the door waiting for it to open...

Anyway... I signed the paper they left so when they drive by they will leave it at the house.

At least they better! :nud:

I'll give them a check over. I'm sure they're wrong...:hang: At the very least I will install the bushings... The washers I guess will have to wait... You'd think they'd tell their distributors to check their stock and replace with the right stuff... They BETTER warranty it even though I bought it from Paul... It does look as if they're in the center.

Cheers!

OK I got them and my luck held out! They are drilled WRONG!

I put a thread on the Pedders site to see if anyone had some sitting around.

Lets see how this goes...

Ugh...

Thanks again Paul! This was of course no fault yours!

Well the saga continues... I have such a bad taste in my mouth from this whole Pedders ordeal it's not even funny....

Well I guess the people in AU don't like or use the offset washers in there cars so PeddersUSA brings the kits here, opens up EVERY ONE of them and inserts 4 different washers.

Even if it's true I have never heard of a company using the SAME SKU/part number for an item with different parts in it.

I REALLY REALLY am not happy about this...

Pedders has now stuck me for (GET THIS) 77 dollars for FOUR caster washers. Plus I have to pay 2nd day air to get them here so that's another 25 bucks.

All this... Because Pedders didn't have the damn thing in stock.

Anyone in AU want some Caster washers for their cars? WHY the HELL would someone replace the washers with what essentially is the SAME as stock?

Chris
VERY unhappy!
