I have been chasing a “shimmy” in my steering wheel now for about 4000 miles. I have been through COUNTLESS wheel shops; some that could be considered the PREMIER shop in this area.

Fast forward: I ran into the owner of Tire Busters at the office a week ago and explained my problem to him. He immediately asked me to bring my car to him so he could FIX the problem. WOW! “Fix it” I asked, “Yes, FIX it”, he said. OK, I am in!

I pulled up to his shop today @ 11pm and the first thing I noticed was the clean and professional shop area. I have been to MANY tire shops in the area and some resemble a third world country, Tire Busters reminded me of a NASCAR shop. Clean, professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and most of all FAIR PRICED.

This is not a BIG tire shop, they are not a "production line", nor did I get the feeling they wanted to be, they take their time with you and your car. Each wheel was removed, cleaned and balanced on their state of the art HUNTER wheel balancer. Let me tell you, what a BITCHEN deal to watch, it even puts a laser line where the weight needed to be, this ensures NO QUESTIONS as to the placement of the weight. After they cleaned, high speed balanced each wheel, and installed the needed hub centric rings, they carefully placed them back on my car and torqued each lug nut to spec.....I could not ask for more!

Don't let the funny name fool you, if you are in the area and are looking for a set of wheels and tires, or just tires THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO. They also mentioned they do mail order, so give them a call if you are interested!

Did they solve the problem?

Also, are you the George Michael wanna-be, with the neat little hat, sitting at the counter?

Why didn't the company you purchased your wheels from get you hub rings when they installed your wheels/tires?

If your wheels wobbled for 4K, I'm surprised the tires aren't permanently damaged.

The company I got them from was one of the first people I went to......... as for the tires, according to the tech, everything is A-OK.

Agreed, what surprised me is each place I went to before the Tire Busters missed it. I think the wheel balance on their machine and the hub rings combined was the problem.

Well hub rings haven't fixed my problem yet. Have had mine rebalanced 5 times by three different places. They would be NTB, Discount Tire, and my dealer. Still have the wheel shake and real violent vibration on the highway. Really frustrated. Been dealind with this since February.

Which wheels do you have? Which tires are on the wheels? Did they send hub rings with the wheels? What is the exact lug pattern?
