I swear almost every white car/truck ive seen has it(every car/truck has it white just makes it easier to be seen), and my g8 has it to.

did some Clay baring last night and got rid of alot of it and treated the car to its first coat of P21.

Anyone else notice this?

I think almost everyone had this problem. Glad it worked out for you.

Every white car I've ever owned has gotten this. I still don't know what its caused from and every detail guy has a different explanation. Sounds bad, but most detail shops use a acid mixture to remove it.

Clay is how I've always removed it but now that I use a Porter Cable DA with Adams I don't have to work as hard at it. I just clay the car then use the DA to clean the paint well.

It does it to ALL car colors.

No problem! It's what we call it but it is what happens when cars are transported on rail cars. The rails and wheels are actually consumables and the light rust/steel particles will settle on the cars and create little rust spots on the paint called "rail dust."

We in the "salt" or "rust" belt use the term for what we get on our cars during the winter months with the salt and what not that our States use.

It's easily removed and you can't see where it was.
