I want to run a square fitment (non staggered) of the above combination on my GT.

What offset should I be looking at... and anybody think that will work on the front?

One of the tire/wheel suppliers 'guarantees' the fitment of a 265/40/18 on a 18x9.5 ET45...

that seems like it would be too close to the suspension... am I off base?

Is their "guarantee" the right ET?

Anybody do anything similar to this?

Beuller... Beuller... Beuller...

ROFL... that seems to be the only real response that I'm getting anywhere I ask.

I have a budy that is a mechanical engineer and crew-chief, and we were crawling under the car, and he thinks we can get a 275 under the front of the car.

Nobody seems to have done this though... just my luck... I gotta be the guinnea pig. :)

I just don't want that wide a tire on the front of my G8. It puts more pressure on the suspension. Right now I don't have a push, and I like it like that.
There are a ton of threads with offsets listed. However, it seems like the same mistake is made over and over. A 45 offset "should" work.

Well, I'm going to go ahead and buy a pair in that size, and try them on the front, if they don't fit I'll end up with a staggered fitment and order the same wheel in a new pair, slightly narrower. If they do fit, I'll just get another pair of the same. :)

Makes sense.
