I installed my Vararam today and started my tune. I have HPTuners and a AEM Wide Band. Did a couple of scans and looked like the MAF was off by about 3%. Scaled my MAF 3% and everything looks good now but my WB o2 sensor crapped out. The sensor has about 10,500 miles and is 2.5 years old. So I did not get to log any WOT runs with my Wide Band. My outside temp was showing 68° and logging intake air temp showed 73° cruising at 70mph.
:woohoo:

Interesting....I should be getting my Vararam this week.

I've had to already scale my MAF up by 3% while I was stock.

It will be interesting to see how it flows compared to the stock intake.

Let me know how much you change your tune when you put the Vararam on!

how did you scale your maf by 3% did you take the table and multiply by 1.03? what else did you have to do, I am useing HP tuners also but I dont have access to a wide band. did you have to do any thing else?

Yep. My fuel trims were in the high side of negative.. -8 to -10 %. Figured I am getting more air than the stock calibration showed. I fine tuned it in a few spots, my trims are now more in the +/- 3% range. I did scale up the top end as well...but haven't done much WOT testing as I don't have a bung for the WB

My intake is supposed to be here tomorrow....

Still MAF tuning, but my current tune is pretty close, just adjusted the MAF. I still probably have another round of MAF tuning to go.

How are you going to dial in the spark tables? I haven't seen any good write-ups for spark tables for us self tune guys. I know we can get them close by ourselves, but without a dyno we'll never know for sure.

I've been running 3-4* timing over stock, based on reading, using 93 octane. I don't see any KR. I do need to be dyno tuned to dial in timing and I need to get the WB going (probably after headers--for now just leave it on the rich side)

10-4. I still haven't gotten my dyno sheet (he was out of paper) and he still hasn't emailed me my files. All I remember from Sat's pull is I was running mostly 10.9 to 11.1 AFR stock.
