I just noticed on the other forum (sorry) the company "Intense" dynoed a stock GXP A6 before and after their tune, and the stock number was 328 rwhp. I know there has been much said about the 4th gear (1.15) in the auto's compared to the M6 4th gear. Not sure if I am stating this correctly, so am I to assume due to the gearing on the auto's, that the dyno's show roughly 15% less then the manuals? Sorry to sound like an idiot, but if we dynoed and A6, would we assume that we have roughly 15% more hp?

Sounds like that Auto needs to be properly broke in.
I'll volunteer if need be

I guess I'm not phrasing this correctly, and not sure exactly how to. I didn't mean to state a 15% increase. But it appears that a stock GXP (415 hp) w/an M6 dynos around 370 hp, and an A6 GXP around 330 hp.
Approximately 10% loss for M6, 20% for A6.
Stock GT (361 hp, all A6) dynos 290-300 hp, approximately 20% loss.
I know I have read that the final drive ratio (or whatever it is) on the auto's in 4th gear is 1.15, which doesn't give the auto's a "fair shake" on the dyno. I guess what I am asking, does it seem feasible, based on the comparison of the GXP's M6/A6 numbers that a stock GT may be closer 320 hp? I know that it also depends on what type of dyno is used.
I just can't see an auto killing the numbers as much as it showed on the GXP.

Agreed. Everywhere I look there's a thread trying to downplay the GXPs dyno #s, only to see them them go up by 15-20rwhp once broken in.

Please don't think I am trying to downplay the GXP's numbers. The GXP is awesome. Just trying to learn and understand. Thanks to all.

The car had 1200 miles on it, so how much more broken in can it get? I think this is the car that was picked up in Houston and driven to Florida then driven to Ohio.

Technically highways are not the place to properly break in an engine as a constant speed will actually increase the wear to unsat rings and cylinder walls. Recommended break ins involve differentiating rpms as well as some higher rpm (not red line balls to the wall) accellerations.

Correction - 2500 miles on the car.
I don't know how it was broken in. Initially when I saw the low dyno numbers I thought it had under 100 miles on it.

That was my guess as well, but that may not be the case.

I think that sucks auto LS3 vetts are putting out 360-370 stock? They are only supposed to be 20 more flywheel hp.

After re-reading the 1st post, was there ever a post tune #?
The Corvettes have a much more aggressive factory tune than the GXPs, which would be the reason for the higher dyno number. A solid tune on an A6 GXP should be in the high 440s - low 450s.

The GXP M6's that I've seen are dynoing around 350+ bone stock (meaning absolutely no modifications whatsoever)

Do you mean 440-450 flywheel? Or rwhp w/ all bolt on mods?

Brain fart lol mean to put 340s-350s rwhp, but we can assume I was referring to crank hp :)
